My wife and I spent six nights here in May; we wish it could have been longer. The location is excellent, the 'casa' is charming, the breakfasts delicious, and the hospitality warm and inviting. The rooms are clean and well attended to. It was just what we were looking for: not a hotel, but a home away from home. This... More

Casa Ordonez is located 2 blocks from Plaza Calderon right in the heart of Cuenca. The proprietors have owned the house for generations. My wife and I stayed in the Julia room (the rooms are all named for members of the multi-generational family) with private bathroom. The mattress and bedding were modern, new-ish, and comfortable. Some other elements of the... More

We loved staying at the Casa Ordonez. It is a short walk to the Main Square and the action, but located perfectly so that we did not hear any night noise. The staff at the Casa Ordonez were extremely welcoming and helpful. The Casa is an old building with an interesting layout. Our room had a walkout to one of... More

This hostal is quite different from any other places that I've stayed at. I've traveled quite a bit and stayed at a range of bed and breakfasts, hostels and hotels. It has a unique and homey feel with bedrooms on the second floor and a large dining area on the ground floor. The roof is window paned that give it... More

Only a couple of blocks from the main square in the Central part of town. A friendly family run hotel where you get to know everyone and can get help when needed. Rooms are old, but comfortable. Some of the newer, nearby hotels are more modern but that wasn't an issue for us. We ended up extending our stay by... More

Casa Ordonez is truly a family run Inn in Cuenca. Grandmother, aunt and nephew are all available to assist with anything you should need. We had a lovely, spotless room that opened onto a courtyard as many do in Ecuador. The beds were clean and comfortable. We were promised ( and they delivered!) piping hot water in the shower. Breakfast... More

Yeah, it's great. Perfect location, perfect atmosphere, incredible treatment by the family/staff. And the price, of course, can't be beat. My husband couldn't make the trip at the last minute, so my son accompanied me instead. I never gave a thought to the fact that a boutique hotel like this would just have one double bed in the room. When... More

First off, you may think this review is fake because it is so positive, but every word is true. We stayed here in Jan of 2014 for 9 nights. The staff, Diana and Sofia specifically, and everyone else, could not have been better. I know the phrase “treated us like family” is often overused, but in my case, there is... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming small hotel, an old Spanish villa with polished wood floors and high ceilings built around a central courtyard. Great location near the central square, strong wifi, lots of hot water, good breakfast. The absolute best part is the people who run it....they could have have been nicer or more hospitable. My husband... More

This Spanish villa is impeccably clean and beautiful. It does show its age in a few aspects but that only adds to the charm. The polished hardwood floors and stairs creak with nearly every step. The rooms are nice if a bit sparse and the bathroom is very small. The bed was great. The rooms have no numbers but have... More
