My husband and I stayed at the Casa Ordonez for two nights in March. Alberto & his family have done a wonderful job retaining he beautiful original aspects of their 100+ year old home while updating & adding modern conveniences. Beautiful, historic decor; lovely, clean and comfortable rooms with fresh flowers; delicious, ample breakfast prepared by the proprietor, Alberto, himself;... More

We first heard about this wonderful B &B while researching our first exploratory visit to Ecuador. Alberto & his family have done a wonderful job retaining he beautiful original aspects of their 100+ year old home while updating & adding modern conveniences. Everyone we met was gracious, & helpful - offering dining ideas, sending us off to ride the double... More

My partner and I stayed at the Casa Ordonez for five nights in early March, and we were very impressed by everything this small boutique hotel has to offer. The hotel enjoys a fabulous location in the historic center of the city. Parque Calderon, the central plaza, is a two-block walk and many wonderful restaurants are within easy walking distance.... There are not enough superlatives to describe a stay at Casa Ordonez. I had the pleasure of staying at this outstanding hotel for nine days at the end of February, and each day was an absolute pleasure. Beautiful, historic decor; lovely, clean and comfortable rooms with fresh flowers; delicious, ample breakfast prepared by the proprietor, Alberto, himself; helpful, friendly staff... More

My wife and I have extensive international travel experience and this hotel is absolutely the best. It was highly recommended by the owners of Santuario Hibiscus, an Ecuadorian B&B at which we stayed, and they were right on. The hotel is located in the historic old town and has been in the Ordonez family for three generations. Most all of... More

We stayed for a couple of nights in March and it is easy to see why so many others have loved this hotel as well. The building is in great shape yet you feel like your in another era due to its authentic decor and charm. The common spaces in the hotel were very nice. A small bar area to... More

My wife and I stayed here for 8 nights. We have stayed at a few other places in Cuenca in the past but no more. This was Alberto "Ordonez" family house that was converted into a hotel. I like the modern conveniences with the old time architecture. Rooms are very clean with fresh flowers. Towels and sheets just like staying... More

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in February and it was a fabulous boutique hotel. It is a converted family mansion into a lovely hotel. Alberto and his staff are the very best and helped plan out things to do and also arranged to hire a driver for touring nearby towns. The breakfast is very good. Very... More

Something very special about what the Ordoñez family has done with their family home. It is a unique experience in Cuenca, with the warmth and pride of a family home. The woodwork and floors are beautiful, with lots of character. The modern touches are much appreciated- hot water, good lighting. The restraint is also wonderful - - - - nothing... More

I was lucky to spend the night at Casa Ordonez, situated two blocks away from the downtown Cuenca area... The staff is all smiles and hospitable something quite rare in Cuenca, the design and rooms are spacious more than 3 wifi networks all around this beautiful colonial andalusian beauty. I was greeted by Alberto who spoke perfect English and so... More
