My wife and I like to learn about the history and culture of the places we visit and came to Cuenca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in part to do just that. We did not know it at the time but when we stepped through the entrance of Casa Ordonez we stepped directly into that history in a way we... More

We were at Casa Ordonez in Cuenca for 5 nights. The beds were comfortable, the room was large, bottled water was provided every day, breakfast was good and served courteously, and staff was very helpful. Alberto always greeted us with a warm smile, but it was his mother who won our hearts. She said that everyone calls her " Momma",... More

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying for 2 weeks at Casa Ordonez in Cuenca, Ecuador. The hotel is a traditional spanish colonial building with rooms encircling a central interior courtyard which served as the dining room for breakfast. The location was excellent as it is centrally located in the historic district and within walking distance of... More

Alberto and his staff are truly caring, kind and helpful. The hotel is clean safe and very comfortable. The staff is very knowledgeable and well connected in the community which opens visitors to activities that most will never see. The quality of the amenities at the hotel is very high and the breakfast is wonderful every morning. As an international... More

We went to Cuenca to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary, Christmas and New Years' and stayed 10 days at Casa Ordonez - with family and friends ages from 4 to 75 and this was the perfect place for all of us. Charming, friendly, homey, comfortable and service beyond compare. I needed a dentist to reattach a crown - Ines Ordonez... More

We stayed 5 nights in December, and fell in love with Cuenca. The family that own this hotel went above and beyond to help us get the most out of our short visit to Cuenca. Alberto and his mother were always so welcoming and kind, especially to our teenagers. Breakfast was in the sunlight courtyard, and was always served quickly... More

It's the family that runs Casa Ordonez that makes this one of the best small hotels in Cuenca. The son and daughter are both fluent in English and all are gracious to a fault. La Casa is well- situated in the center in a secure neighborhood and there is secure off-street parking in the block immediate. The rooms are small... More

We stayed at Casa Ordonez for 10 nights in November-December. They room & facilities are kept very clean. The owners & staff do everything they can to make you feel welcome & help with every need. They give you recommendations, if you want, as to the best approach or ways to see sites, find rentals, etc. The breakfast is very... More
