Forgot to show up for planed airport transfer (just as well as the airport taxis were cheaper), gave us twin room even though they had confirmed we would get a double and were rude at breakfast. This was expensive comparatively, but we had chosen it as it was recommended by horse riding company, otherwise much greater choice in same area... More

This hotel is located in the Mariscal neighborhood of Quito, very close to many other hotels, hostels, bars, restaurants, and clubs frequented by young travelers. In terms of access to this, this hotel is right in line with many of the others in the area. What makes this location stand out however is that it is wonderful for non-young adult... More

I am not sure I would choose the area of the Mariscal again, but that is a choice of neighborhood, and given we were there, the Cayman was very nice for us. It was clean, walking distance to many nice restaurants, and had excellent security. The room was very small for a triple, which wasn't really a big problem for... More

We booked through a travel agency and were supposed to change the room the second night. This was not possible because a polish group (the owner of the hotel is from Poland) was preferred. There was not any reward for that but the opposite. For calling a taxi to the airport they charge you $ 30,-- but pay the driver... More

We booked a double bed room with change of the room after the first night. Although the hotel confirmed us the change, we had to stay in room Nr. 3- which is definitly too small for two persons. The polish hotel manager blamed the receptionist as this would be his fault- but she didn't write down the reservation in their... More

Cayman is located in a part of Quito where there are rather a lot of small, basic hotels and hostals. Their prices are accordingly competitive, so the little things make the difference. Cayman has a small private garden, giving you a place to get away from the bustle in the street. Their dining area is small and the menu limited,... More

This was the first place we stayed, booked the room sight unseen online. It was nice, the rooms were small but clean as was the bathroom. The one young man at the front desk during the day was especially helpful, and even walked us to a travel agency after his shift was over, so we could book our trip to... More

I booked the Cayman Hotel for two visits in October 2013. Made first booking online and second direct with the hotel. Hotel is ideally placed near to Plaza Foch but a hundred meters away from the main bar area so quieter and better for sleep. Hotel is simple but very clean and very friendly staff who can help you book... More

I stayed for 4 nights, but was unfortunate to be put in the tiniest room (all the other single rooms were empty) where you can not turn around in the shower stall. There was no towel on the first night, but I was offered no discount nor apology. Light bulb in the table lamp was missing. No maps or info... More

I stayed at the Hotel Cayman for 5 nights. I had a single room, which had a small bed, but that was fine for me. The room was clean and the shower was the best I had in Quito- plenty of hot water with great water pressure. The hotel provides a breakfast of coffee/tea, bread, and eggs to order. The... More
