Was greeted by unfriendly staff, took a whole to wake then even though they knew we were arriving at midnight. Kept adding costs to the booking even though I had an email showing agreed costs. Basic room which smelt damp. Unsatisfactory breakfast, granola with watery yoghurt, bad coffee. Small communal area. Will not stay here again and wouldn't recommend to... More

The hotel itself is clean enough, though our bathroom smelled like a sewer. It just lacks all kind of charm, when we came back at night after 10 pm, the porter was clearly annoyed he had to let us in. You can´t count on the breakfast hours - waited 45 minutes after announced opening time until we gave up...

I am a backpacker with 40+ countries visited, from 'less than basic' to luxury accommodation experience, age 37. Stayed for 4 nights. Comfort: clean, spacious pleasant, bright twin room with 2 big, comfy beds, extra blankets available on request (cold at night), small tv with local channels, wi-fi in the room, hot shower, bathroom basic with paint falling off the... Stayed at Jhomana Guesthouse for 5 nights, and it was wonderful! Patrick, the owner, did everything he could to make the stay perfect! He arranged sight seeing for us (ask him to book a trip to the Galapagos for you, best price around!), and stored our luggage for us at no charge. The rooms were clean, spacious and inexpensive. The... More

Very good experience at a modestly priced guesthouse. Stayed a total of 11 nights over three stretches from Dec. 30 to Jan. 20. Staff is very friendly and eager to accommodate all requests. Owner Patrick is quite personable. Location is excellent, easy to walk to Colonial Quito, big national museum, Plaza Foche. Easy cab distance to Teleferico, Ofelia bus station,... More

Stayed one night before leaving on a trip to Cotopaxi. Room and bathroom was not too clean. Lighting in the room was very dim, making it feel more dingy than it is. Got the room for 40$ in a happening area... Can't complain too much. The cab they arranged for us didn't show to pick us up at the airport.

I am really happy with my stay at the Guesthouse, its the second time I am staying there. The location is good, but its not too noisy in the night. The serivce from the staff was really good and I got a lot of help and information.

I lived in Quito for more than two years and when I go back to visit friends about once a year I always stay at Jhomana. It offers a good location, reasonable price, and great flexibility. I usually leave the city to go stay with friends for a couple of days, and staff is always very accommodating with regards to... More

I stayed at this hostel for 5 days and really liked it. It's on a quiet street, and they have lovely communal areas and the people who worked there were super friendly. It's located in the touritic part of Quito, but at the hostel they gave me all the information about busses and metro lines, and I just explored the... More

We booked one night in Hostal Jhomana based on the prices advertised on hostelworld, which was $20.37 each for a twin room and ensuite. However, when we arrived we were told that the price did not include taxes and we ended up forking out $23 each which I consider misleading. Futhermore, the room was average, dark and damp with no...
