Stayed here for a couple days before going to the Galapagos. The hotel is in the historic district right by a main square, which made it a very good location. It's old mansion with lots of character. The staff was so wonderful. We were able to keep our heavy bags here during our excursion. Also, a block away is the... More

The first thing to say about this place is at is a tad difficult to locate. While it is on a major street in the centre it is hidden behind a big blue door. But it is like slipping into an oasis when you go in. The owner has a clear penchant for collecting unusual pieces of furniture and memorabilia.there... More

We only stayed here for one night and arrived late at night. It was quiet, nice, and we had a really delicious breakfast. Fresh orange juice, huge selection of tea, eggs, yogurt, breads, etc. Can't give advice on location, etc. since we were just here over night.

The hotel is very well located in Quito old town, in a nice old colonial house, beautifully decorated. The rooms are smallish but convenient and good value, with good breakfast. I would consider the hotel an excellent cost/benefit relation. The only problem is how to reserve the hotel. First I sent a e mail to the hotel, but it was... More

Thank you for your report. We feel sorry about the reservation problem you encountered when using our booking online. However we must clarify that you reserved 2 times - once at booking online and once by booking directly via website contact. Some confusion was the result of the 2 bookings. We apologize for everything and also payed back a small... More

We recently stayed in this moderately-priced historic hotel for two nights before and one night following our trip to the Galapagos. We could not be more pleased. The location, a five-minute walk from the main plaza, is excellent. While caution is always advisable in Quito, we were comfortable in the area near the hotel. From the outside the hotel is... More

This hotel is owned and managed by a charming couple of Ecuadorian and Swiss nationality. It is lavishly furnished and decorated in the Ecuadorian style and makes you feel like a guest in a wealthy home of the Spanish conquistadores. The personnel is friendly and helpful and attends to you if you have special wishes. Rooms and especially the cupboards... More

A quaint hotel located a short walking distance from the main plazas and historic churches of Old Town Quito making it an ideal base to explore various parts of the city. A former historic house that has been transformed into a hotel, it still retains the feel of a home with a hotel staff that is very friendly and helpful... More

We found this to be a charming and very comfortable hotel in a fantastic location right in the middle of the old town area. It is only a few minutes walk from the President's Palace and in the other direction, less than 10 minutes to the Basilico church. The staff were so helpful. We had to leave at 4 am... More

We stayed here two times. The first time our room overlooked the lobby, which was a negative as we could hear everything in the lobby. For example, I could hear the phone ring every time. I would only stay here if you can get a room not overlooking the lobby as those rooms are too noisy. So I would rate... More

For $170 + dollars a night you expect more than just a bed and breakfast and tiny room and bathroom. Issues: Some rooms a tiny (and you still pay full price) Some bathrooms are smaller than airport toilet stalls and feel old The common areas feel cramps The wireless internet does not work in all rooms Everything from TV, bathrooms...
