Not the newest hotel in town but it's the hotel we keep coming back to when in Quito for several reasons, it's close to Amazonas and all the restaurants and shopping in old town, Freddy, the hotel owner and his wife are amazing, they always extend a helping hand and great customer service. We have always felt secure and safe... More

This hotel has seen better days - it is bit "tired" and rundown, and the rooms are spartan at best. However, the service from the staff and value received for price paid make up for any shortcomings in the accommodations. This hotel especially caters to those planning climbing trips in the mountains of Ecuador and it is a good place... More

Don't allow the photos and other reviews here posted probably by the owner of the hotel fool you. First off, this hotel is situated in a busy street at day time and did I mention a couple of houses down there's a jail (something we didn't see at night). The first night we arrived, Freddy received us at almost 2am,... More

The hotel is situated in a quiet and save area of Quito, you can find many reataurants nearby. Rooms are ok, breakfast is really great (and included) and the hotel has a hot spot for your laptop. Staff is very friendly and helpful, we liked the atmosphere and felt very well there. Freddy is the owner of "Sierra Nevada Expedtions"... More

We used the associated Hotel Sierra Nevada as our residence while in Quito. Prompt service, excellent breakfast (included) and a colorful hotel all made us feel welcomed and at home. I used while mountain climbing in Ecuador. I arranged my trip using the logistic services of Sierra Nevada Expeditions. The service Freddy and his staff provided my team was excellent.... More

The staff/owners provide a welcoming place to stay while in the Quito, Ecuador area. Breakfast was outstanding, rooms were quite comfortable and staff where available to assist at any time we needed them. I would stay there again when in the area.

This place is great! They will pick you up at the airport as you go thru customs ($12)...the hotel is a typical Ecuador hotel...nicely furnished. Rooms are large and very comfortable. You are within a few blocks of all the restaurants in the Mariscal District..yet not right on top of them. Freddy operates his tour company right next door. He´s... More

Give this place and operator a miss! I booked to stay and also climb Cotopaxi with this guy, Freddy. He totally let me down by changing my dates to do the climb which meant I couldn't go. I had even confirmed with him less than two weeks before. The hostel is run down, shabby and dirty - and things don't... More
