The hotel is very centrally located in the historical center of Quito, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. If you stay here, request a second floor or roof room, as the ground floor rooms are not very isolated from noise, so in the mornings, when things get moving, it can be hard to sleep in. Otherwise, the hotel... More

The hotel is in a good location in the old town. The room I stayed in was very dark as it had no windows. It was also very noisy. The reception staff are helpful and speak good English. The breakfast is average.

I really liked the look of the hotel and it is in a convenient location. Yes, the rooms were simple and clean until my friend found cockroaches. Wifi is poor in common areas and doesn't exist in bedrooms. You can hear conversations from down the hall and in the room above. If you struggle with altitude, you may die carrying... More

This hotel is a former mansion from the colonial days of Quito. The setting is rustic and the rooms simple, but the hotel is very clean and quaint. The staff are very helpful and the front desk speaks good English. The Plaza Grande and other notable attractions are just a few blocks away.

The initial charm of this quaint hotel was overridden by the abrupt and obnoxious receptionist who had no interest in solving the screw up of mine and my friends booking (which was their fault). This proceeded throughout the length of our stay. This rudeness escalated on the last day where another receptionist argued with us trying to charge us for... More

We stayed in this hotel before and after our trip to Galapagos. Location is great with a small supermarket next door. Close to most sightseeing spots in historical downtown. Front desk is helpful. Will stay here again.

We were a really confused group of kids from the US and had a lot of problems with the reservation. The employee at the front, Jonathan, helped us and was really great. He helped us in English too which was nice. Only complaint is the wifi did not reach our room very well.

Hotel is acceptabel if you are only planning to stay there for a sleep, but plan to spend the rest of the day outside the hotel. Most of the staff has very limited english skills/none at all. Also breakfast is only served in a minium of hours. Internet is not the best either. Another thing which I didn't find acceptabel... More

This place was recommended as a meeting point for our group. A beautiful courtyard in a 17th century building could not compensate for the loud staff who talk and laugh and move furniture in the early morning, every day, endlessly, without any considerations for guests who are sleeping. Overall, we had a feeling there was no manager in charge and... More

I stayed here while I was in Ecuador for work but would definitely recommend to any family or friends travelling through Quito. Stay was very comfortable and you can't beat the price! It has cute decor in the lobby with a great location in old town. Reception was always friendly and ready to offer support if I needed it. I... More
