If your looking for a quiet location located in the colonial town of Quito the Hotel San Francisco will serve you well. The staff are friendly and the breakfast offered was both varied. The room itself was beautiful and clean. The people are wonderful, very attentive to your every need. The food in the restaurant very good price and well... More

Great place and easily located to Plaza Grande. The rooms are large and bathroom very clean. Rooms on second floor, stairs. Room included breakfast at an unbelievable low price. Staff extremely helpful. Located very close to trolly. Can walk to many attractions. Lobby is beautiful. Free internet to use. Grocery next door.

Recently stayed here but not happy with room for what it cost. Had to run around in the shower to get wet! A basic, small room with worn bedding and towels. Nice sitting area in inner courtyard but noisy at night with phone ringing and people coming in. Found a place around the corner for half the price and a... More

Excellent location for exploring the historic centre, especially as the building itself is very old and beautiful with a stunning geranium-filled courtyard and lots of natural light. Staff were friendly and spoke good English which was very helpful to us. They patiently offered advice and booked taxis where necessary. Breakfast was very basic and fairly unexciting: dry bread rolls and... More

We recently spent 4 nights at this hotel on our way to & from exploring Ecuador. The first 3 nights we were on the 2nd floor overlooking the atrium & we had a large, airy room which was comfortable. On the 2nd stage of our trip we had 1 night in a room on the 3rd floor. The room itself... More

We stayed at the San Francisco de Quito Hotel from October 18th until the 25th 2014, i.e. 7 nights. The hotel itself is very pleasant, with a nice decoration full with plants and a foutain in the lobby. The room was confortable and the bathroom big enough with a good shower. The location is also nice, being in the beautiful... More

Stayed for 2 nights in December. Was able to arrange airport pick up for $50 which suited us nice because our flight arrived in Quito at 1 am. Staff was friendly, room was very basic but served as a great home base for walking around and exploring Centro Historico. Close to all the old churches and La Ronda. Staff was... More

We based ourselves in Quito and made several trips from there such as Cotapaxi National Park, Quilatoa Loop and the Amazon. All up we had 5 nights in this great value and comfy hotel. The staff was excellent and very willing to help. Breakfast was included and was good. The only issue we had was due to noise and the... More

Hotel San Francisco is our new favourite hotel . Our spacious room had a huge comfortable antique bed& other lovely pieces of furniture . Our Juliet balcony overlooked the bustling centro historico below . Breakfast was served in the vault & staff were always friendly & helpful. The central courtyard is gorgeous. The hotel is close to great eating places... More
