San Francisco de Quito is a very nice hotel in the old town (centro historico) of Quito. The staff is very friendly and they have a great breakfast and almuerzo (lunch) downstairs )not included. We had a nice room with ok shower. Only downside was the climb up the stairs after just arriving at the altitude of Quito. For western... more

My friend and I stayed in Room 32 at the top of the hotel. It's a fabulous room with views in 3 directions, a fireplace and a kitchenette for $58/night. A bit of a climb at the high altitude, but worth it! The service at the hotel was great and the location couldn't be better for touring El Centro Historico.... more

We stayed here four times over three weeks, and we found it to be a great base for our Ecuadorian adventures. Great location in the old town of Quito. Reasonably priced, quiet, spacious rooms. Helpful staff. Luggage storage was very useful. Breakfast basic but nice. Had dinner in the restaurant one evening which was quite good too. One old computer... more

Basic rooms in the center of the old city. Walking distance to this great area of Quito. The front desk could not find my reservation when I first arrived. I brought up my confirmation on their ancient computer in the sitting room. Took some convincing, but I got my room with a double bed. Customer who checked in later that... more

I booked my first night in Quito here from the Rough Guide and was really glad that I did. Not only was it just a 2 minute walk from the old town's attractions, but it was quiet, clean and included breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful without being in your face, plus they let me check in at 9.30... more

The hotel l courtyards were pretty and the location near the main plaza was nice. The rooms were very average and many did not have exterior windows. To have any frssh air in our room, we opened a panel above our door that allowed fresh air to come in from the corridor, which was partially open air. I would spend... more

We stayed 2 nights before our Galapagos trip and one night upon return. The hotel really fit our needs which were mostly to have a clean quiet place to stay that allowed us to adventure out on foot to nearby attractions. It's a beautiful, tranquil courtyard style hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. Don't expect modern luxury, but it's... more

I have stayed here many times and the service is the best, prices are great and the location cannot be beat. It is an old colonial home turned into a hotel, so do not expect 5-star accommodations. Some rooms lack windows, hot water is better in some rooms than others, no elevator; but basically clean and comfortable. The atmosphere is... more
