I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel that I chose at random from a list. It turned out to be very conveniently located for what I wanted to accomplish when visiting Quito (combination doctor visit and sight-seeing.) I've paid more for other hotels and gotten worse accommodations. The only two "gripes" were a small, old tube-type TV and a bathroom... More

I travel a lot for business, mainly at the big chains, so when I saw the very positive reviews for this enchanting place I booked it immediately for 9 nights. Every positive review is true, a very nice boutique hotel. Friendliest staff I have ever met. Lots of British travellers travelling onto or coming from the Galapagos. Why they like... More

This is an excellent hotel just a few minutes walk from the central part of the Mariscal. Everything was perfect - friendly greeting on arrival, fast internet (wireless router in each room), comfortable beds, hot showers and the best free breakfast I had in Ecuador (ham, cheese, toast, fruit, yogurt, corn flakes, eggs made to order, coffee & juice). Highly... More

This hotel has it all. Clean rooms with character, friendly staff and in a good location for the new town. They have a restaurant too and the food is basic but good. If you want to be in Old town then it is a little far to walk but a taxi can get you there easily. The hotel can also... More

If you want modern high rise amenities, don't come here. On the contrary, it is colonial, rustic and uncomplicated. I loved it and stayed for 4 nights. OK, so the ceiling was low. Big deal. Guests could see into my room. Shut the curtains. Good nights sleep and a shower to die for. Well cooked wholesome food and polite helpful... More

My wife found this hotel with good reviews as a stopover on our way to Cuenca in Southern Ecuador. What a great and friendly welcome we received at about 8:30 pm local time after some 19 hours travelling from the UK. Just what we needed. Lovely room to freshen up then drinks in the lounge. We asked the receptionist to... More

We stayed in several places across Ecuador and the Galapagos. This was my favorite place. Our room was probably the best in the hotel. Separate downstairs with twin bed and bath and queen bed upstairs. The balcony was great to watch the city go by. The hotel has lots of nooks where you can sit and enjoy a book or... More

I was visiting Ecuador for business, and found this hotel using trip advisor near where I would be working. The high ratings are well deserved. Beautiful little hotel. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable, not very large, but that wasn't necessary. Great water pressure, even on the top floor in room 27 where I was located. Very quiet at... More

Beautiful hotel.. I love the Cuban designs. The rooms are small but still beautiful and worth every penny, which wasn't much. The hotel is in prime location to many restaurants and clubs. From the hotel to the equator was about 25 minutes in a taxi. Did I mention that breakfast here was delicious?!

We stayed here for 3 nights before our Galápagos trip and for 2 nights after. Both rooms we had were spacious and very comfortable. The breakfasts were lovely lots of fruit, granola, toast, juice and eggs just what you need before a busy day sight seeing. The staff were very friend organising taxis, laundry and storing our luggage for us... More
