This is a small hotel which is located in a quiet side street close to restaurants and shops. The rooms were reasonable size (not large), quirky and comfortable. Breakfast was good and typically Ecuadorian.

Charming hotel, walking distance to shopping, restaurants, coffee shop, etc. great place to stay if you're exploring Quito. Breakfast available at the hotel was quite good. I brought a group of students & parents here, and it was a nice jumping off point for visiting the old town section of Quito (as well as the new). Visit the Iglesia de... More

We stayed a couple of nights passing through Quito on our way to Galapagos, and everyone in the family felt this place was a really unique, little gem. We almost felt it was too nice for us since we were traveling on a budget and hadn´t stayed in any place like that in our six weeks. The rooms were in... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Vieja Cuba on four occasions during our recent trip to Ecuador. We were looking for a friendly, convenient location for the days we moved in and out of Quito, and found it with this hotel. Small but friendly and good location. Walking distance to many restaurants and stores. 5 minute... More

I'm not one for writing reviews however had a really good time here, hot showers and wifi worked the whole time. Well situated relatively safe with loads of bars and restaurants nearby but not noisy at all, however the best thing by far was the really really friendly staff, honestly probably my favourite anywhere in the world. Thanks for making... More

Lovely, homely hotel in the heart of Quito. Staff make you feel at home and the food was excellent during our stay. Wifi was superb in both rooms and public areas. Definitely an affordable gem that all travellers experiencing Ecuador should stay at

A beautiful, quaint, well-kept hotel very centrally situated for sight-seeing, bars and restaurants. The rooms are clean and with good amenities. There's a lovely garden in which to relax. The breakfast is delicious and all the staff bend over backwards to help you in any way. I would definitely stay here again!

We booked the Vieja Cuba due to reviews we read and photos we loved. Our room was very small, almost Parisian size. Also, it had no refrigerator. We did like the friendly staff and location near numerous restaurants and bars. But for the cost, I would rate it a poor value.

very clean and good amenities room in the newer end of Quito. Highly recommend as stopover or short term base. Historical centre of Quito is one bus ride away or you may feel happier in a cheap taxi. Plenty of average standard restaurants and cheaper eating places adjacent. Good hotel breakfast; nothing exceptional but more than adequate and a friendly... More

My "go-to" place in Quito.....although too often it's booked! Rooms are comfy, staff friendly and accommodating and Maria brightens every delicious breakfast! It's convenient....close to Supermaxi and not too far a walk from the Artisans Market.
