My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights before our Galapagos trip and one following. On the first two nights we stayed in room 208 this had two floors as previously mentioned by others we did not find this inconvenient at all but very charming. It had two beds one up stairs and one down with a... more

We stayed for 2 nights in September 08 and were very impressed with the beautiful courtyard where the restaurant and bars are located. Staff were very helpful and we found the service excellent. However because the rooms are on two levels, elderly or disabled people may find it difficult to climb the stairs (especially at altitude!). Beware- the timber floors... more

We stayed here one night after coming back from the Galapagos and beginning our biking trip. It was a fabulous hotel! Great service! The food was some of the best we had on our trip. Rooms were comfortable. They even have free internet service with two computers you can use. Great little hotel. Loved it! We also stayed at the... more

Stayed here before and after the extraordinary Galapagos - found the rooms, staff, food and location to be perfect. Excellent way to start a trip of a lifetime. Needed prescription meds as I forgot to pack mine - staff helped and I had a full medical and prescription withing an hour - Who says the staff are unfriendly! enjoy! more

We stayed here for just three nights, 2 before a trip to the Galapagos Islands and 1 after. The hotel is in the old area - very quaint and beautiful and right next to a large main square. If, as us, you are only staying a short while, it is worth knowing that on the square there are several very... more

We stayed one night at the Hotel and couldn't wait to leave. The bi-level room was, as one traveler already said, "inconvenient." All rooms face a common indoor courtyard and therefore any sound in the courtyard reverberates in your room. The breakfast prep was especially noisy. The reception was cold and unwelcoming. The price was outrageous especially as, unlike EVERY... more

The best thing about this hotel is it's location in the old town which means that it is in easy walking distance of most of the tourist sites that you will want to see in Quito. We stayed there about 4 times over a three week period. This was handy as they were willing to store luggage over that period.... more

We spent three nights at Hotel Patio Andaluz in July, 2008, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is perfect, just a couple of blocks from the Plaza de la Independencia. The hotel is in an old building and the interior spaces are gorgeous. Our room was split level, with a bed on the “ground” floor and another upstairs. This would... more

I stayed here looking to get away from the typical Hilton/Marriott/Sheraton/Swisshotel business trip grind. It is, as everyone has noted, in an INCREDIBLE location. The public spaces of the hotel are also really gorgeous (the foyer, restaurant, bar, etc). BUT, I found my room to be disappointing - there was never enough light and there was no window. I'm sure... more

We had three 1-night stays here and one 2-night. The 4 rooms were reasonably comfortable, tho' we found the split-level room inconvenient. Reception staff were friendly, and very helpful in tracking down a tour operator who had let us down one day. There was a good choice of food for breakfast. We had no other meals there, preferring to eat... more
