I know its been a while but i've just been using trip advisor for my search for places to stay in italy and i looked to see if patio andaluz was on here, and even 2 years later wanted to share the wonderful experience i had staying there. I loved it because it was exactly what i hoped for for... more

After an ecotourism holiday in the cloud forest I was ready for some luxury and I found it at Patio Andaluz. Prior to my ecotourism holiday, I stayed at a hotel in Mariscal...don't do it...go to the Old Town instead as there is so much more interesting for the architecture and people watching. Patio Andaluz is in a perfect location,... more

We recently stayed at Patio Andaluz before and after a trip to the Galapagos Islands. The hotel was located about 30 minutes, depending on traffic, from the airport. It was central to the Old Town area and about a block from the Grand Plaza or Independence Square. The hotel was a restored old colonial home with two interior patios, large... more

We loved this charming hotel...based on the reviews we weren't certain but decided to go for it. If you prefer a boutique hotel, this one is it. It is elegant, charming, warm and impeccably maintained. Our 1st room was a 2 story delight that overlooked the restaurant...we had 2 separate sleeping areas plus our own "balcony" overlooking the courtyard. On... more

It is a fantastic, small hotel full of old world charm, right in the heart of the first UNESCO World Heritage City. Within walking distance from the Independence Plaza and many of the historically significant churches and squares, Hotel Patio Andaluz is the perfect base from which to explore. Don’t let guide books make you hesitate about staying in “Old... more

The hotel was not cheap, but was a really nice place to stay for a couple of nights before we left for the Galapagos. The staff were very nice and helpful, and spoke excellent English. They organised a transfer for us from the airport. No doubt it cost us slightly more than a standard taxi would have done, but it... more

We stayed for one night after having stayed at The Swissotel on our previous two stays. We had a room which had two levels, which was good and did have an outside window. The comments about no outside window refer to rooms that overlook the internal courtyard. I don't know how I would have felt about one of these rooms... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights before our Galapagos trip and one following. On the first two nights we stayed in room 208 this had two floors as previously mentioned by others we did not find this inconvenient at all but very charming. It had two beds one up stairs and one down with a... more

We stayed for 2 nights in September 08 and were very impressed with the beautiful courtyard where the restaurant and bars are located. Staff were very helpful and we found the service excellent. However because the rooms are on two levels, elderly or disabled people may find it difficult to climb the stairs (especially at altitude!). Beware- the timber floors... more

We stayed here one night after coming back from the Galapagos and beginning our biking trip. It was a fabulous hotel! Great service! The food was some of the best we had on our trip. Rooms were comfortable. They even have free internet service with two computers you can use. Great little hotel. Loved it! We also stayed at the... more
