4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I stayed here with Overseas Adventure Travel while on a tour to Quito, the Amazon and the Galapagos. The hotel is conveniently located, near museums, restaurants, shopping. The rooms are large and comfortable. Continental breakfast is included and is good. Two things that were not so good. One is that you cannot regulate the temperature in the rooms, so it... More

We were on a tour and ended staying in Hotel Reina 4 times in 3 weeks. We found the hotel to be very convenient with an excellent staff. There are many restaurants nearby with a variety of culinary choices. Just 5 blocks away is Plaza Foch (the happening place in Quito) with a number of restaurants and the place to... More

Spent several nights and was very pleased with facility although food in the restaurant was a bit pricey in my opinion. Staff was most helpful and friendly. Located about 4 blocks from the "Artisan Market" which is not to be missed.

For Quito, your first choice is whether to stay in the historic old town - lots of charm but no modern amenities nearby, or in the new part. For the latter, this hotel is a good choice. Near lots of good shopping, restaurants, etc. You want to be in the newer tower with the suites, where rooms are spacious and... More

Hotel has two sections. The suite section has a thermostat for temperature control. The other section does not. Rooms get very hot. Staff does not have the ability to regulate the heat. Only one small window opens and curtain must be tied in a knot to let any air in. Room 508 has a major leak in the tub/shower which... More

The staff was beyond knowledgeable and exceedingly friendly. The hotel was superbly clean. They even upgraded us to a suite for free. Don't look any further; if you're visiting Quito, stay at this hotel!

We stayed here on 2 separate occasions in February. Rooms were clean but basic. They lack coffee and tea making facilities and air conditioning. We had to open the window so both rooms were noisey. Water pressure in shower was terrible. Staff were friendly and attentive. It is located in an area that is full of bars at night and... More

We spent two nights at this hotel -- one each on either side of an OAT tour in Ecuador (rooms 310 and 807 respectively. Both rooms were large and had the same floor-plans, with a small hallway, bathroom, and bedroom areas. There were two chairs, small electrical heater, and side table in the hallway, none of which we used. (Our... More

3 star hotel at best which is tired, grubby, extremely noisy and the breakfast is basic. I had a standard room with a very small toilet which was stained, to get to the toilet paper I had to be a contortionist, the bathroom lighting was poor , the wash basin had a crack in it and behind the shower curtain... The Reina Isabel is a good hotel full of safety features, a new tower with lovely rooms, a welcoming and helpful staff. It is located in an area near some nice shops (Galeria Latina has outstanding crafts) and lunch places. The area is a little dicey at night, but there is no reason to go out to eat because the...
