We stayed at the Eugenia Hotel twice in August 2008 and found it to be a good, reasonably priced hotel. The staff at the hotel was considerate and helped when they could. We were able to store our excess baggage at the hotel for a week when we travelled to the Galapagos Islands. As well the reception phoned about our... more

At bargain prices, this hotel is a good choice for Quito if you're not looking for luxury. The good points: the price, free breakfast, free internet use. The negative points: traffic noise, rooms need a bit updating (the showerhead would be a good place to start). The staff was remarkably friendly and helpful. The room was rather small, but adequate.... more

The hotel staff was great. We arrived to the hotel 30 minutes after the allotted breakfast hours. After an early flight from Cuenca, the staff was nice enough to make use coffee and serve us breakfast. You can also arrange with hotel for an airport pick up for about $6-8 (including tip), depending if it’s rush hour. The room was... more

We booked our Ecuador / Galapagos trip through Adventure Life and it was included in a cruise package with the Galapagos ship Coral 1. AL was very easy to deal with and we tweaked and tweaked the plan for months. They were very patient! We flew in to Quito via Miami on AA. We didn’t pay extra for transfers so... more

We stayed at this hotel twice, before and after a trip in the Galapagos. The price was great, and the hotel was simple and clean. The decor was all over the place--but they were trying, and it was nice (and a little tacky), somehow it reminded me of a European hotel. The front desk staff was really nice and most... more

This hotel is very clean, with a friendly, helpful staff. It is small, and the rooms are small but clean. It is nicely decorated. It provides good value for the money. My wife's biggest complaint was that the hot water was not always hot, and on the third floor took a few minutes (seriously) to warm up. The hotel is... more

I thought this was a very nice, quaint hotel. It is quite close to the airport (taxi ride $5) making it convenient for late arrival. I made the reservation directly and did not have to give credit card info for the reservation. My room was spotlessly clean (no musty smell), there are hairdryers and bottles of drinking water in the... more

By US standards, this hotel would definitely not be able to call itself "First Class." It is a charming little hotel somewhat hidden for 'protection.' The foyer and common places are very clean and the internet service and included breakfast are very convenient. We stayed in quite a few rooms during our stay so we can say that all fours... more

This rather small hotel excels in providing personalized service. We were in the Hotel for three nights and had an excellent stay. The front desk and the dining room staff were very courteous and helpful in making our stay enjoyable in Quito. Breakfast was good. Hotel had one free internet terminal in the lobby that was an added convenience. When... more

We stayed at this small hotel before and after a trip to the Galapagos. We had a lovely room the first night, but it was in the front of the hotel and quite noisy from street traffic, which kept me awake for hours. The staff were very accommodating and moved us to a quieter room the next day. We had... more
