We stayed at La Rabida for two nights before our trip to Galapagos. The location is pretty central and very close to La Marical (only about 10 minutes on foot). The rooms were simple, but clean and the staff incredibly friendly. Especially the lady working at reception, Gloria, was super helpful and lovely! She helped us find a pharmacy and... More

Hotel La Rabida is a comfortable and cozy hotel in the middle of new town. The quality of this hotel are the staff, they are extremely helpful and willing to make you get the most out of your stay in Quito. As for the room itself, it was a bit disappointing. The bed was good, but the room as a... More

I spent five nights at Hostal de La Rabida in June (3+2) each side of a birding expedition, and found it a welcome home-from-home on my first visit to South America. At first sight, the location is less than beautiful, being in the architecture of the new town of Quito, but once familiarized, I realised the convenience of the setting.... More

My sister, niece and I shared a room here while visiting my niece who had been studying in Quito. The hotel staff (Carlos and Gloria especially) went out of their way to make our stay perfect, even storing our luggage for a couple days while we went to Banos. Breakfast was yummy, the room was large enough for all our... More

So glad we stayed here! What a cute hotel. We stayed in Room 2, which had a large balcony accessible from our room by double doors. The bed was huge, clean, and supercomfy. The water was always hot. Fresh, filtered water was available in a jug that could be refilled at our request. The restaurant was great for breakfast and dinner... More

La Rabida was a great choice for us. The staff was very attentive and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable and quite charming. Located two blocks from the heart of the Mariscal area so shopping, wining and dining were at our doorstep. Their own restaurant served very tasty food as well. They also had a nice living room area... More

This boutique hotel felt like a home away from home. The receptionist, Gloria, always greeting us by name and with a warm smile, the resident bunny rabbit, Brownie, the cozy fire in the den each night, the balcony and gorgeous magnolia tree outside our bedroom... Great memories! If you'd like a respite from the city smog, hustle and bustle, this... More

Friendly staff, very helpful. They indicated to us two interesting places to visit La Ronda on a Saturday evening, wonderful architecture, very good music in each restaurant and tons of restaurants within a few blocks. They also told us to go to see on Monday the change of guard at lunch time. Nice unique place.

This small hotel is very quaint and charming. There is a comfy sitting room with a fireplace. And it was cold enough to burn a fire each night. Then there is another small room where you can sit in a comfortable chair, have a drink (they have a small bar area) or work on the provided computer. (Note: remember, if... More

Fantastic service by the staff, very helpful and friendly. Our family room was perfect - a double bed and two singles in an adjoining space separated by a curtain, and the children enjoyed their eggs for breakfast every day.
