I stayed in this lovely hotel for a few nights in May with my family. The location is very good: restaurants, cultural and tourist attractions are within a few minute walk. Food was superb: we tried the excellent Locro de papa soup and meat bites with peppers. The rooms are bright, spacious and decorated with great taste. The staff was... More

Dear Matteo thanks for your wonderful review. We strive to make our guests feeling at home and both good food and great rooms are an essential part of it. I am glad that you enjoyed our locro de papa, a typical Ecuadorian soup. Our chef is a true expert in Ecuadorian cuisine and it shows. Thanks for staying with us... More

This was by far the most charming hotel we experienced during our trip to Peru and Ecuador. We loved the fresh flowers in our room as well as the public spaces, and the roaring fire in the lounge each evening. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful - Gloria and Carlos were outstanding - and really made... More

We only stayed one night in this small hotel but we had an excellent meal there and a very nice bedroom with a small sitting area attached. The staff were very attentive and polite. There is a common sitting area with a fireplace which we found very peaceful. We had thought of going for a walk in the evening but... More

Dear John many thanks for your kind review. We are glad you enjoyed our rooms and service. Having security cameras is currently a compulsory requirement for hotels in Quito. It may arguable (or may not) enhance to the overall safety of our guests. Hostal de La Rabida is certainly located in a quiet and very safe neighborhood in Quito. Our... More

Everyone at the hotel was interested in customer service. Gloria was of particular help in setting up everything that I wanted to do, especially being on the equator line. She planned me getting to the stores that I wanted to get to. Ecuador is one country where you need to learn the Spanish language.

Dear Joe many thanks for your review and for your words about the customer service we provide. Gloria is an extraordinary human being and a wonderful receptionist. At Hostal de La Rabida we speak 5 languages (Spanish, English, French, German and Italian) but not speaking Spanish might sometime be an issue when you walk around Quito. Nonetheless we are glad... Lovely little hotel, great location and very nicely decorated inside. We stayed in both the main house and the garden rooms and had no problems with wifi, noise or hot water. The little heaters are perfect too! Wonderful roaring fires and excellent breakfast that we shared with the rabbit :-) Walking distance to Foch Square, $4 taxi to old town... More

Outstanding position and awesome service from the staff. Nothing is to difficult to help you with and they really do care about your welfare. Lovely, spacious rooms that are very quiet. Do yourself a favor and book here. Michael and Julie Australia

We spent 5 nights at Hostal La Rabida over the past 3 weeks on our stopovers in Quito. The staff were fantastic and the property was very quaint and old world. Great location for evenings with proximity to Foch Square without the noise. Great beds and washrooms and even though some of the rooms are smaller that is part of... More

We stayed here before & after our trip to the Amazon. The staff are so friendly & helpful, providing great suggestions for what to do & where to eat, arranging taxis & in general just doing whatever they could to make your stay better. We had a triple room which was a bit of a tight fit but was otherwise... More

Beautiful victorian style hotel and exceptional service. We had a rental car and they provided free and secured parking. Some rooms are simpler than others, but you can enjoy living room with fireplace. Chose to have breakfast at nearby cafe instead.
