My family stayed at this hotel when they came to visit me while I was working in Ecuador. I couldn't meet them at the airport and I was nervous about their security while they were in Quito as none of them speak Spanish and they have only traveled in Europe. Rabida helped them book a car to pick them up... more

The rooms are very small and the water was not always hot. The noise from the car alarms was disturbing. The common areas are homey and adequate. Breakfast was average, and not included in the price, so beware. Also, If you ask for an extra bottle of water you are charged. The staff was very accomodating and helpful. more

I stayed here with a friend for a total of 5 nights, 3 nights while in Quito, 1 night between the Amazon and the Galapagos and 1 night before leaving for Peru. Every time the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They were even able to turn around my laundry in under 10 hours with no extra charge. The rooms... more

"OK" pretty much sums it up. There is very little wrong with this hotel from the courteous staff to the cosy living area and fire. Its in a good location 5 minutes walk from the centre of the Mariscal district. However, its not particularly special in any way. It reminds me of a dated English B & B. Rooms are... more

in a quiet street just a stone's throw from the Mariscal Sucre, Hostal de la Rabida was a friendly, comfortable base from which to explore Quito and the rest of Ecuador. We stayed there for 5 nights on arrival then on another 3 occasions when we returned to Quito from the Amazon, Banos and the Galapagas. Felt like home from... more

We have been at La Rabida for 5 nights; this little and very comfortable hotel has a typical european style and the owners are friendly and lovely. The rooms are clean and the staff is always helpful. In La Rabida, you can breathe the familiar atmosphere in front of the fireplace, drinking wine and talking with the guests, staff and... more

We have been at La Rabida for a total of 7 nights, coming back and forth from other destinations in Ecuador, last August. Our stay was really very enjoyable, because every time we felt as we were at home. The lobby is really cozy, with a nice fireplace, the rooms are not very large, but clean and with everything you... more

I have just come back fom a stay in Quito, Ecuador, which I enjoyed very much, particularly my stay at La Rabida, where the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and I felt really at home. I have stayed at La Rabida for a total of 7 nights last month during my trip to Ecuador. I was looking for a small, quiet and clean place to stay and I got all that and even more at La Rabida! First of all, I must say that the staff at La Rabida were all very friendly and very... more
