We spent five nights here. They were waiting for us at the airport and we had a pleasant ride into the city. The room was not spacious but, perfectly adequate with some shelves. A few hooks would have been nice. The bathroom was small. Our room was upstairs with one small window. The stairs are narrow. The wifi worked great.... More

We spend eight nights at this B&b. We had a street facing room it would have been nice if the curtains would have been heavier to block out the street light that shone in a room all night long. And that maybe could've helped with some of the street noise also. Their desk staff is a little undertrained. We purchased... More

La Casa Sol is a beautifully decorated hotel, quiet, and safely closed, in the noisy entertainment district of Quito. The room we got however was rather dark, no direct sunlight. The bathroom was tiny (obese people would not fit in). There was warm water (however sometimes not, and then you needed to ask). The shower head needed replacement. The plug... More

We stayed here several times inbetween our Amazon and Galapagos trip in the loft room and it was absolutely perfect, like our own little apartment with a balcony. Breakfasts were simple and delicious. Great location about two blocks away from the main square so was quiet but close enough to all the action and restaurants. Felt completely safe walking around... A beautiful decorated hotel in a safe close proximity to the happening plaza and access to the cross town bus system. It also has the benefit of being close to the numerous agencies organising Galapagos trips. A nice peaceful place after a long haul. The breakfasts were delicious but may only half fill you up. The team of staff were... More

The hotel was ok. Great location near Plaza Foch, the staff was friendly, breakfast was good and reasonably priced. They charged us quite a bit for an airport pickup, but were very prompt both getting us from and taking us to the airport. Also, our stay was marred by a complete water outage our last morning there. All in all,... More

We booked 2 room for 3 nights. Our first impression was unfortunately marred by the fact that we had asked them to provide transportation from the airport to the hotel, but they never showed up. We eventually called them from the airport, but by the time they arrived, we had wasted almost 2 hours waiting. And the never apologized. (They... More

Booked our first two nights in Ecuador here.. it turned out to be a bit expensive @ about $33 a person. there was a slight misunderstanding with the price and reservation upon arrival. we tried to cancel, hoping to go find a different cheaper hostel, but then the staff showed us a paper which stated the terms of cancellation, which... This is a really nice hotel, in a beautiful colorful building, but in my opinion highly over priced, and therefore over rated. The hotel is excellently located in the La Mariscal part of the town, just a couple of blocks from Plaza Foch, the party and nightlife center of Quito. Even though it is so close, the street is actually... More

The loft at the casa sol was like a little secret hidden in busy Quito. The atmosphere in all of Casa Sol was great, welcoming helpful staff and the room felt like a little bit of heaven, complete with our own patio for our morning coffee. Oh and the bed! I would recommend anyone to stay.
