Spent almost half the nights of our trip in Ecuador here! The staff was really incredibly helpful and kind and went out of their way to make sure we were always comfortable! The accommodations are very cozy (fire place on cool nights and decorated for a local feel!), rooms were clean and bed was clean and comfortable. Def the best... More

The reception and communal areas of this guesthouse are nicely decorated with bright colours (stylishly done) which give a welcoming feel. The reception staff are also very friendly. There is a free computer in the reception with internet but unfortunately free Wi-Fi is only available in the reception area and not in the rooms. The breakfast consists of simple fruit,... More

This great little place is conveniently located for restaurants and bars. It has a gate up front for security. The rooms encircle a lovely little courtyard. Staff almost always has a fire in the fireplace and you can get a beer or a glass of wine and peruse the little library or shop in the little shop. The staff is... More

My wife and I stayed at Casa Sol three separate times during our three week holiday in Ecuador. Had we had the loft room for all 3 of our stays then this review would be a comfortable 5 as we didn't it gets a 4. Both rooms (we stayed in room 21 the other two times) had really comfortable beds,... More

La Casa Sol was in a great location for getting around the city, the rooms were comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was small and consisted of fresh fruit and freshly squeezed juice. The area on the weekends is a bit of a party area but the location is great and accommodation comfortable. I would... Stayed here in the suite, Room 15 for several days while I toured Quito. The lobby, breakfast room and lounge were very lovely. At night there was a fire in the fireplace in the lobby making things cheery, but bringing the smell of smoke into my room. I think there was a new receptionist because she was very unsure of... Conveniently located close to Foch Plaza in the tourist-friendly la Mariscal area, but just far enough to be away from the crowd noise, this is very good location to have as your base in Quito. The hotel has a brightly painted adobe look. My son and I had the minimal (cheap) rooms both times we stayed, but these were clean... More

Casa Sol staff were terrific. They arranged drivers and guides for us, let us heat leftovers in their kitchen for supper, made coffee in the middle of the afternoon for us, and smiled all the while. This is not a luxury inn. Our room was small and a large person would have trouble in the bathroom as it was tiny!... More

A nice little B&B on the edge of the party disctrict Mariscal. The house is very warm and welcomy to guests, the free unlimited internet is a big plus, and the staff is friendly. Breakfast is a bit little but very tasty. The room we had, nr. 12. Was damp and smelled moalded. On the day we wanted to check... More

The good: -Best location, in the center of Mariscal but off to the side so you don't suffer any of the night noise. -A great breakfast is included. -Internet is free and available. -TV is included with english channels to keep up on home news. -Awesome and friendly staff. -Rooms are inside the hotel and away from the street so...
