A lovely stay with family of friends. The kind hosts were helpful and accommodating to the needs of our large group (11). The hotel looks and feels like a large home. The rooms are interesting and clean. This was the favourite spot of all the hotels we were in on our 16 day Galapagos trip.

We stayed 2 nights in Hotel La Cartuja, Quito in April 2015. The hotel is centrally located and close to the center. How the rooms are set up, you feel like at home. Rooms are clean and fine for the standard (we rate it as a 3 stars hotel). More important, the staff are very friendly and helpfull. They have... More

I stayed at La Cartuja for 5 nights during the Pope's visit. They were always extremely helpul to me, very, very friendly. Familiar atmosphere. Cosy patio. The hotel is very well located, near a park, in a quiet street. I very much recommend it if you go to Quito as a tourist or for business

Weary from traveling, we arrived at Hotel La Cartuja. The accommodations were very nice. Clean, open spaces, a garden and a smile greeted us. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel is within walking distance of many area attractions, and it's easy to catch a cab to see more. Breakfast was wonderful! I would gladly... More

We stayed in room 6 at La Cartuja for a total of four nights on two different occasions. The location is excellent as Old Town. La Mariscal and El Ejida Park are within walking distance. There are also several fast food places just up the street. The hotel is on a side street but noise can be heard from the... More

The place is warm, the staff is really kind and the situation is also fine, by Ejido Park. I really appreciated the calm of the neighbourhood. The bedrooms were really comfortable. I do recommend the place. Apart from that there's an inner patio where one can lie down to relax and get a sunbath if the weather allows it.

I staed here before & after an Intrepid tour. I stayed in 3 rooms in the main building. Room 6, was a good sized double, with a comfy arm chair and tv facing over the street. Room 8 was an ok sized twin, with big windows. Shower pressure wasn't too bad in both. Both rooms had really poor wifi signal.... More

We were in Quito for one night and we stayed at La Cartuja. We had a reservation for a room with three beds. Our reservation showed a large room with three windows and three beds. The room they gave us was small, had one double bed, one single, and one window, definitely smaller that the one we reserved. It was... More
