Its spooky and non familiar entrance door is the contraire of what you encounter inside. L'Auberge is a nicely spaced hostal with a pool table, bar, kitchen and nice rooms. Slept in a private room without bathroom and I slept very well. Compared to other hostals this one is calm and your sleep will not be bothered. The front staff... More

I stayed here for 5 nights, in a private room on the 2nd floor overlooking the courtyard so it was pretty quiet and nice. The room was clean including the sheets and bathroom. I booked ahead and requested a pickup from the airport because I landed around midnight, which costs around $20. Gina, the manageress came to pick me so... More

A great base while visiting our daughter working in Ecuador. Pleasant, comfortable, lounge, games room, and internet desks, Dining room with bar, good evening meals and excellent breakfasts. Special tiered garden, with seating and palm trees away from the bustle of Quito. Good mix of rooms, with daily service. Nothing was too much for the staff; taxis arranged quickly to... More

Do not be turned off by the entry. You are about to enter a safe and welcoming hotel. The rooms are spotless, the beds great. The staff goes out of their way to help you with any question or to arrange bookings for you. The breakfast buffet is awesome!! Try the tomato soup, yummy.

Centrally located between Old Town and La Mariscal on a hillside with pleasant views of Quito. Ideal for walking Old Town, strolling in Parque El Ejido or for exploration further the Ecovia stop - Eugenio Espejo is nearby. We have stayed here several times over the years - always an interesting collection of guests from around the world within a... More

Good central location. I walked around the neighbour hood during the evening and didn't find it dangerous as it was descried in some of guidebooks. Stayed at this place on two different occasions. Staff spoke multiple languages and were very helpful. Laundry service was very helpful. It was the least inexpensive place we stayed during all of my trip and... More

Good location, has the Ecovia station (Eugenio Espejo) nearby. Easily, you can walk to the old town or the pink zone from the hostel. The hostel is very clean, the breakfast are better, the attention is good, is cheap, and the owner is a great person. In summary, is a good option

The man working the desk at night was very uninterested in helping us. The rooms were basic, but fine, the only weird thin was that the cleaning staff entered our room on two consecutive days (which we discovered once when we were sleeping). Kind of unusual for a private room. The biggest downside is the location, as it doesn't seem... More

I've stayed here 4 times in the past 10 years. We've never had any problems with the hotel or the staff during the times we've been here. The hot water sometimes goes but if you ask the front desk, they'll send maintenance to change the gas tank which cures the problem. We found the breakfast quite reasonable .. $3.99 for... More

..... in the center of quito. We had a room for four and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is close to everything and we felt very safe there. There is some entertainment also for the kids, which gave us some free time to sit and enjoy. We woudl go again.
