The hotel was clean, very helpful English speaking staff, Wi-Fi available. No elevator a bit of challenge with the high altitude. Great, great, great location. No smells noted. I did see some repair construction going on in the patio, which was closed for the repairs. The views were great. The reviews about the street noise in the outer rooms is... More

You are near all the action in the old town here. La Ronda is down the hill and the heart of Colonial Quito is a few cuadras up the hill. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel has 4 floors and no lift. It is in need of a make over. The rooms are OK. WIFI is available everywhere... More

I would have given this place a lower rating if not for the very nice top floor dining room. That is about it. We were given room 201 which is right by the marble staircase above the marbled entry way and checkin counter and faces the street. Do not accept this room or any other room facing the street. Being... More

The hotel is in a beautiful old colonial building with marble staircases and is located across the street from the Santo Domingo Church and plaza. Our room window looked down on the church and up the hill to the large angel statue towering above the city on one of the many hills above the city. Beautiful views particularly at night... More

We spent here two nights last December. The position of the hotel and the building are really good and the view from the restaurant at the top floor is wonderful (only pay attention to the fact that there's no parking possibility in front of the hotel and that there's not the lift). But... the staff people do not speak English;... More

We arrived in the middle of the night and after entering the room, almost reserved another hotel. We did stay as availability limited and even got used to the air pollution in the area, but never quite overcame the stench of sew gas emitted from the bathroom. The staff is attentive, the breakfast adequate if not good, and the location... More

Dear Mr.Russ009, Thank you for taking the time to write a comment. Please receive our sincere apologies about the smell at the bathroom of your room. At that moment there was some work going on at the meeting room that is located under the room you occupied, and the smell fltered through the pipeline to the bathroom. Our guest satisfaction... Good location in the old town although you do get some street noise, at least in a room facing the street. Great price, and the breakfast is excellent with a nice view of Plaza Santa Domingo. The staff speak English and are very helpful. I left some jewelry behind in the room when I checked out and Claudia in Reservations... More

We were 3 friends. I booked the single room (room #106 at $58) for 2 nights, another friend book 1 single room for 2 nights, and I booked one double room (a room in the 2nd floor, I don't remember the #; at $80.64) for 1 night. We did the booking online thru their website. Positives: -Good breakfast with lots... More

We stayed in this hotel only for a night, in the suite called Manuela Saenz, facing Plaza Santo Domingo on the last floor. Even with the sound isolating windows, you can still get some of the noise from the streets. That day there was a particular guy standing very close to the hotel and shouting for some time, so you...
