This is a modest and unassuming hotel which solidly delivers top value, aided by a pleasant and helpful staff. It is walking distance from the hot restaurant/night life area around Plaza Foch as well as to our favorite store for Andean sweaters -- Galeria Latina. Victor, the head bellman, set us up with a car and driver for a six... More

Hotel Sebastian is located in the Mariscal area of Quito. It is close to a good number of fine restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful. Most speak English. The restaurant at the hotel serves an assortment of very tasty dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you are leaving for the airport in the wee hours of the morning... More

This was a pleasant hotel. Staff were friendly. Very clean rooms. Most important, at least while we were here, it was fairly quiet outside. Nice little park across the street. Easy walk to touristy shopping. We also walked to the botanical garden which I recommend as it has orchids of Ecuador. Breakfast was quite decent.

This is a nice hotel in a great location for a fair price. It is a smoke free hotel. The breakfast buffet wasn't worth the price. I went elsewhere after the first breakfast. The staff was very helpful.

We have stayed at this hotel at the beginning and end of two trips to Ecuador. The rooms and service are superb. The restaurant is very good for the price but the kitchen can be very slow on some dishes. The location was more convenient for the old airport; not so any more.

I visited Quito in January 2013 and stayed at a B&B - they could not keep me for more than a night and transferred me to this hotel. What a gift! Super friendly staff who allowed me to practice Spanish, very helpful/patient with my multiple requests and need to change dates, etc. The room was cleaned thoroughly daily. The internet... More

Taking into account the recent reviews about this hotel, which are in general positive, my experience with it might be biased by the specific room I was given. It was a pretty small room with a rather old mattress; a damaged window close to the tub allowed cold wind to get into the bathroom; breakfast was OK but lacked variety.... More

The pros: rooms are large and comfy. bed is a king (which, from my experience, is rare in Ecuador). really friendly and helpful front desk. hotel taxi same price as street taxi (only $5 to old town). pretty central and easy to get to. some rooms had balconies. black out shades. attached restaurant was cute and well priced. good water... Is it the Four Seasons? No. But it is a reasonably priced, clean hotel with nice staff, many of who speak English and try hard to be helpful. It is convenient to shopping and restaurants and is in a safe area. We have stayed here twice on visits to Quito. They put us in a smoking room by accident and... More

Short stay. Nice lobby and restaurant. Room was really frumpy and needs a facelift. Took awhile to get hot water and the traffic noise was so bad none of us could sleep at all. John at the front desk was fabulous and helpful. The surrounding area not safe. Lots of construction with huge open holes in the sidewalk. Be careful.... More
