Great location very near Plaza Quinde and the La Mariscal area which is where most tourists stay and were all the restaurants and bars are. The hotel options in the Old City are limited and expensive. Sebastian is about a 3 minute walk from Plaza Quinde (I think its also called Plaza Foch) and its very quiet as a result.... more

I stay at the Hotel Sebastian about six times a year while on business. The rooms are very comfortable, price is reasonable, the restaurant food is very good and the staff is superb. I highly recommend this hotel - which I would rate best in Quito for its category. more

We stayed at the Hotel Sebastian for a wedding in July 2009. It was MUCH better than what it looks like in the photos. We were a little squeamish at first, since the photos make it look kind of Motel-like, but it turned out to be more like a Hilton. The rooms were large with modern amenities and large bathrooms.... more

Went to Quito a couple of months ago, it was unbelievable. The Hotel Sebastian had a extremely helpful staff that would accommodate anything (ask for Viktor). From driving us around the countryside to the meals, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. more

I began and ended my birding trip to Ecuador at the exquisite Hotel Sebastian in the Mariscal Sucre district of Quito. This charming, little hotel was just what the doctor ordered after a long day of flying and a week of muddy hiking/birdwatching. The food was delicious (and what huge portions), the staff were attentive and friendly, and the view... more

I just came back from Ecuador. This hotel really surprised me. It is typical Ecuadorian Style, very clean, and the service is great. The only drawbacks that I had and it is typical of hotels in Ecuador is the street noise. The windows are not the best. I was on the 5th floor. The other thing is that the thicker... more

Located in the trendy La Mariscal, you have access to great restaurants and cafes within blocks. The staff was very attentive and friendly-- professional, but not snobby. We had the matrimonial sweet for a reasonable $90/night, and were very comfortable. Even the bath products were yummy and high quality. The hotel is not charming, per se, but it's safe and... more

The Hotel Sebastian is centrally situated in Quito, and so, inevitably, there is traffic noise. But our room was clean and comfortable, the food was good, and, most importantly, the service was friendly and helpful. Laundry was done and returned quickly; leaving a spare bag fro our return from the Galapagos was no problem at all; and the front desk... more

In our traveling experience, we have never find a hotel personal, more dedicated to make you feel great, and they get it. Hotel food quality is great, rooms are neat, serv ice is excellent, location is perfect, going to Quito, and not staying in Sebastian, do not make any sense. more
