This is a funky little hotel in Quito. There are murals on the walls and the place definitely has character. They only serve breakfast and lunch - both of which are very good and reasonably priced. There is a little market a block away where you can buy some hand made souvenirs. This hotel is not in the old part... More

Good location, close to Plaza de Foch (naam checken!) with several nice coffee shops, bars and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff but the rooms are in desperate need of repairs/ maintenance. There is a big discrepancy between how the hotel presents itself on their website and the reality! The hotel is certainly not a boutique hotel and as far... More

We arrived in the evening and were shocked by the dark, smelly and mouldy rooms — the common rooms were no better. Old furniture, bad lighting. We asked to see other rooms and they all were like that; a serious health hazard. We were both sneezing and sniffling after a few minutes. It was impossible to stay under these conditions... More

A lovely bed/breakfast/hostel in New Town Quito. Close enough to walk to Old Town and other places in New Town. The room we stayed in was comfortable, and lovely. Had to wait a little for hot water in the shower when the hotel was full, but on the mornings where the rooms weren't all full - had hot water right... More

Booked here by Intrepid on a comfort holiday but found the hotel below standard. Drafty rooms, curtain fell off the wall, exposed electical cables in the bathroom, street lights shone into room from skylight. Very noisy as the room wall was also the footpath wall . We asked to be moved to another room and were told no as we... More

Probably the prettiest hotel I have ever stayed in. If you are looking for 5 star anonymous luxury then don't come here. The building is old but it is unique, old plumbing, thick walls....rooms outside but so, so charming and we loved it. It was my partners birthday when we were there and I emailed the hotel to try and... More

Thank you for your kind words! I have let our chefs know how much you and your partner have appreciated the homemade cake (and that after a long flight and a full meal, very impressive!). We hope to see you and your group back next year! Merika Evertsen More

I loved staying in this bright beautiful place which has such as soul and history. As you can see in the photos, the hotel is really beautiful. My favourite part is the library. Its just such a beautiful space to read. The staff is extremely helpful and I just enjoyed staying there. The room that we had was decorated in... More

If you are looking for a modern hotel in Quito with flat screen TV, refrigerator, mini bar and all the modern conveniences the this hotel is not for you. If however you are looking for a small family style property which feels like a home from home then consider Cafe Cultura. We had a week her and were given a... More

the house is quite nice and an alternative choice for non-business travellers. But it is rather run-down, breakfast is poor and service non-existent. The wood floors squeak all the time and the noise is heard all across the building.

We provide a standard American Breakfast included in the room price, especially for those staying a little bit longer that might get a little bit boring. We also have a breakfast menu with very different styles to choose from, however as this is not included in the room price most of our guest do not ask for it. If you... More

This hotel is near the Marsical but not close enough to be noisy. Our room had a lovely bathoom with old fashioned bathtub and a very comfortable bed. You could step out of our room into the lovely garden gave us the feel of having our own private patio. The only negative aspect to the hotel is that tthe Cafe/Restaurant... More
