We stayed here three nights. The Honeymoon suite with the gorgeous greenhouse type bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. This boutiique hotel was relaxed and close to a Hop on Hop off bus stop which will take you to the Historical district. We found interesting restaurants within walking distance. Most people will let you "take-out". We did so one night... More

We were on a package to the Galapagos and stayed at the hotel for one night at the beginning of our trip and again for another night at the end of the week. The hotel does not stand out from its surrounds and is based in an old building. This is not a modern luxury class hotel. The entrance gate... More

Comfortable hotel. We stayed there for one night as a long layover to Peru. The cottage style rooms are spacious and have old European décor. It is located about 5 walking minutes from the nightlife/bar area and 20 walking minutes from the tourist attraction. Staff are friendly and helpful. Funny story. We arrived at the hotel at around 8:30pm. We... More

We stayed here one night before and one night after our tour to the Galapagos. Originally we were to stay at the Hilton but because of a religious convention in town our tour operator had to make other arrangements at Cafe Cultura. A list of good things first... This is an old historical building full of charm and has been... More

Thank you for your review! I was very sorry to find out that the wine ordered was never placed in your rooms, luckily your travel agent was never charged for the wine but if you come back, please let us know and you will have a wine waiting for you! Thank you as well for your suggestions on where we... More

From outside view you think that your stay will be wonderful, but once you arrive in the rooms you realize that you were cheated. The furniture are very old, the room is very cold, there is no TV and some rooms has a type transparent window at the roof that you cant close, so 6am you will be waked. And... More

It is true we do not have TV, we are very happy about this as we have other things like hundreds of books and a nice garden to read in to enjoy. It is however not what everyone expects in this era, we are aware of that. We do of course allow our guests to cancel a reservation within our... More

The worst hotel I’ve stayed at in a long time, I wish I hadn’t let my travel agent talk me into this hotel. Over priced, the front desk did not have a map of the city. The room lighting was abysmal, no light switch near the door, could see very little with the lighting that was available. Nearest power socket... More

The good:  1. The area: central location 5 mins to an artisanal market for souvenirs and some chilled out coffee places nearby. Not so seedy as the more central areas of Mariscal (where I also stayed in a backpacker hostel),  2. Beautiful garden to sit in and very relaxing lounge and reception area,  3. Nicely decorated rooms which are very comfortable... More

This was my 2nd time staying in Cafe Cultura. (1 week in August and 1 week in November). I've stayed in room 23, 10, and 4 (suite). I've had nothing but a great experience there. Comfortable and clean rooms. They lock the front gate throughout the day, especially midday through the next morning which made me feel very safe. The... More

I had the pleasure to stay in this very charming and of an unique style hotel in Quito for 3 nights. The hotel is very artistic, beautiful decoration (each room is different and unique), staff very friendly and helpful. Great wifi, great breakfast and perfect location (very close to markets, restaurants, bars, pharmacies, banks). I will stay there again on... More

I made a reservation over the phone with this hotel and when I arrived my room was taken by somebody else. I only got a lame excuse and I had to find a hotel at 1 am I haven't had a chance to stay at the hotel but just the fact that reservations are meaningless here ... I wouldn't recommend... More
