My wife and I had a 10AM appointment not far from the hotel. We landed at Quito's International airport about 0915 and opted to drop our bags off at Cafe Cultura, rather than go directly to the meeting. After a twenty minute taxi ride we were met at the entrance of what appeared to be an old colonial mansion and... More

If you want a quaint boutique hotel with a warm atmosphere but varied guest rooms- this is for you! We had a tour of most of the rooms and it was hard to choose! There is such a variety and pros and cons for each. If you like the generic rooms of a chain hotel- this is not the place... More

I'm surprised to see negative reviews of this hotel. It is lovely. The beds are sumptuous, the bathrooms incredible, and the art is amazing. The service was excellent - really helpful staff. Very reasonably priced. They even gave us fruit and wine in our room. The library off the lobby is so comfy with candles and a fire. The restaurant... More

Lovely small hotel full of character right in the heart of Quito. Unique decor in every room, and nice helpful staff. The breakfasts are also excellent. More

We stayed here twice the first time the room was right in the roof and was hot, had no curtains, a small bathroom with no ventilation, had only a small double bed and smelled like cooking bacon from 5am. The second time we had a very large room with a more comfortable king bed and a better bathroom, this room... More

I spent my first two nights in Quito at Cafe Cultura and found it to be a good, reasonably priced hotel. I found the hotel staff friendly and helpful, and when I stayed here, use of the computer and internet was free. I had room 17, which was large and had a good layout, but it is a little dark,... What a quaint and delightful place to stay. The help at the desk was very informative and spoke very good English. The neighborhood was a little rough, complete with armed guards, but the Indian Market was only a block away. The decorating was delightful. The windows had no screens but there were no bugs (elevation maybe?) The motel itself was... More

We stay in Café Cultura for several nights during our trip to Ecuador. This is one of my favorite places in the country. Staff is very helpful and friendly, especially Sharon and Fernando. The house has been restored and converted into a unique hotel. Rooms are simply a work of art surrounded by original murals painted by local artists! Food... More

The old colonial villa itself is absolutely beautiful. We have stayed in two different rooms and both were very nice decorated and the beds are wonderful - although you should know that the house is located in-between several roads and therefore it is very noisy. If you want to sleep in peace you should look for another place. The breakfast... More
