This is a beautiful old building with lovely Rococo furnishings. The staff were accommodating and our diner and breakfast were good. Thee are a lot of steps and you will quickly get winded carrying your luggage at Quito's altitude. We were a drive to the Colonial part of the city and there were no restaurants near by that were open... More

We stayed here for one night at the start of our visit to Quito. This hotel is in a beautiful, grand mansion which is beautifully restored. We stayed in room 102, which was pretty, but did have some evident wear and tear, and smelled a little musty. The bathroom was beautiful and spacious. We asked the host at check-in if... More

This hotel is excellent and one cannot go wrong by staying here. The location is near enough to walk into the historic center of the old town and also accessible to several museums and churches in the "new town." This is a special and romantic place- the small restaurant within provides excellent food for breakfast as well as dinner and... More

Our travel consultant selected this hotel for our honeymoon stay. Is located on the edge of new town and old town. The taxi ride to the heart of old town was about 10 - 30 minutes, depending on traffic. About a 20 minute walk. Our room was large and comfortable and clean and on the garden side. I understand all... More

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights before and after my amazing trip to the Galapagos organised by CNH Tours. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, full of character, amazing furnishings and it makes you feel as though you are staying in a true mansion right in the heart of the city. I stayed in 2 different rooms, both... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in total at the start and end of our trip to the Galapagos Islands. The best thing about the hotel are the staff who are so friendly and helpful in every way. The rooms are beautiful, if a little decadent, and very comfortable. Whilst the hotel is not right next to any of the main... More

Wonderful, beautiful hotel with fantastic, professional, and warm staff. Even though it isn't in a walkable location it's not really a big deal since taxis are so easy to come by and inexpensive. You can be in Old Town or Plaza Foch in a few minutes for a few dollars. The breakfasts were fantastic and my wife loved the spa.... More

Watch which room you got, I think we got the worst room, 102. First, the room faces the street and is VERY noisy day and night. We had to use earplugs to sleep. During the day when we want to rest in the room we have to use earplugs too, then we can't have a conversation. Also this room is... More

Dear a-world-traveller, Any kind of comment – positive or negative - is always welcome; but they do not neccesarily have to be nasty. Naturally, we are disappointed that your expectations about your stay with us were not met and we are sorry for the inconvenience you suffered. You were, however, immediately changed to a suite, if I am not mistaken.... More

If you get a chance to stay at Mansion del Angel do not pass it up. I have never checked in to a hotel and been so enveloped with ambiance and decadence, both by the decor and the staff.
