The mixed reviews on Tripadvisor had me worried about staying in this hotel. However, our experience was just fine. We stayed 2 nights, 3 different times for a total of 6 nights in 3 different rooms -- first floor, both odd numbered & even-numbered and 3rd floor. Nice views from all 3 rooms, and the grounds are lovely -- good... More

What I loved about this hotel: -Clean, modern rooms with large floor-to-ceiling windows -Large, attractive lobby -Helpful staff What I did NOT like about this hotel: -No air-conditioning or heat in the room (only option is to open the window) -Location is not near too much...you must take a cab if you want to go anywhere

I've stayed many times at this top notch hotel perched high in the Andes mountains. It's a good place to go to rest as you get used to the high altitude. The hotel offers portable individual oxygen tanks for this purpose at a fee of some sort. I want to say $20. It could come in handy if you have... More

So, this is the one time I wished there was a 3.5 rating option but alas, I had to make the difficult decision...is this really a 4 star hotel?!?? It is not. Let me explain. Pros: -I found the wifi to be excellent except for viewing movies -the hotel itself is adequate. You get a bed, you get pillows, a... More

Hotel Quito offered services from their pool and spa for the public. Wanting some R&R my boyfriend and I booked a massage with the hotel. When we arrived the receptionists ignored us for about 3 minutes and when we asked where to go for our massage they told us to wait to pay upfront, because they were very full and... More

Agree with others - the place was clearly very grand in its day, but could use a makeover. Staff are efficient but not very friendly. Breakfast buffet is oustanding. Pool, gym and grounds good. Insist on a room facing the pool (even numbered room) - rooms facing the street are noisy.

1960's vibe and with more of a renovation could be hipster. Outdoor pool really cool but the indoor hot tub looked pretty rank. Steam room smelled moldy but maybe that was their version of Eucalyptus. Fitness center was better than many hotels but equipment pretty dated. Nice views from restaurant on top floor and a good breakfast. Best thing going... More

Our first sight of the Hotel Quito made us slightly nervous as it is surrounded by desperately hilly and rough pavements...not great for a wheelchair if you want to come out of the experience alive. The room had no coffee making facilities and the room was also incredibly dark, having only 4 low voltage lamp type lights (no ceiling lights)... More

A modern hotel with a good rooms. The pool area is absolutly perfect for a lazy day and the possibility to jump in the "hot tub" after the pool is really nice. Location is not the best but a number of restaurants are located within walking distance. The restaurant and bar on the top floor has a beatiful view of... More
