Hotel Quito is a classic hotel in Quito. It has a 1960s or 1970s feel to it, which can be kind of cool at times and a bit blah at others. The room I had on the first floor was decent: spacious, good shower pressure, good closet space. But the rug and curtains are old and the furniture feels out... More

Our hotel room had a beautiful view over the swimming pool and the surrounding countryside. The bed was very comfortable and the room spacious and clean. The facilities are great and well maintained- beautiful pool area with basic gym and jacuzzi. Spent a very relaxing day poolside. Aside from the excellent rooms and helpful staff the absolute best feature of... More

We stayed here several times (5 nights in total) between Amazon cruise and Galapagos cruise. First time we stayed on the 2 second floor facing the city, room size generous with a comfortable king size bed the bath room a decent size. We found the room to be very hot as there was no temp controls of any kind and... More

Beautiful views of city. Very helpful staff. Great wifi in lobby. Nice rooms (chocolate on bed every day!). About $100 a night, but felt safe there and everyone was helpful (single female traveling). Restaurant upstairs is a little fancy, but super reasonably priced, and also has a REALLY REALLY great breakfast included!!!!!!! It is closer to the new modern part... More

My group and I stayed at Hotel Quito for 3 nights the first week of August. The hotel has an art deco retro feel. The staff is courteous and friendly. The breakfast buffet is really nice, with a wide assortment of breads and pastries, fruits and juices, an omelette chef, potatoes, bacon, etc. The wait staff is attentive but not... More

This is a great place to stay in Quito, with a wonderful view over the valley on one side (the pool side) and a view over the city on the other side (the front and entrance). Hotel Quito is by all means a classic hotel, built in the fifties (designed by architect Charles Mackihamon) with an art deco touch that... More

This is a unusual looking place as the 60’s is still very much present in the architecture and furnishings in the lobby. But it was a pleasant surprise once we accepted the unique look. The staff from door men to front desk, to housekeeping and wait staff were perfect. Friendly, helpful, and available. The rooms on the poolside had a... More

Stayed here 3 nights (3 separate dates) recently; had a room 4th floor, valley view first time, second time the room was on the 1st floor, w-a-y down a couple of endless hallways, no view, but a nice quiet room, third time 2nd floor, no view. Any calls for assistance were responded to quickly and efficiently. All three rooms were... More

Being sold as a business hotel, it would be expected to have functional wi-fi in all rooms. This is not the case, I could barely get a signal in my room, no option for a wired connection either. Only places reception was good were in the restaurant on the 7th floor and reception. Enquiries to reception met with blank looks... More

Stayed twice, before & after my Galapagos trip. The location is good, only a 10 minute walk to the Mariscal Foch area with all the restaurants - although, take a cab at night. The first room was on the 2nd floor and was clean and looked good, although it faced the street so there was noise. The second room was... More
