Excellent- helpful staff clean and comfortable perhaps a little noisy at night for some, night life near by went on till early morning. Located in Mariscal district near night spots and easy access to markets and old town and the pick up spot for many day trips

Came here on one of my stays to Quito and was pleasantly surprised by all the qualities of the hotel. Not only is it reasonably priced, but the condition and architecture resembles that of a 5 star hotel. All the staff spoke English and was able to haul cabs for us. Location right in the center of Quito and near... More

The first place we stayed after a long trip. Very welcoming, always helpful staff and very comfortable. 24 hour restaurant on site a plus. Well located in relation to markets and parks, and staff advise on safe places to visit. Noisy at night.

Great hotel in excellent location, only couple of minutes to Foch Plaza, and easy walk to markets and parks. Very friendly helpful staff, always someone who could speak english. Our triple room had 3 double beds. A little noise from street below, helps if you have a room on a higher floor .

Really liked this hotel - the rooms were big and the beds double beds (we had a twin room) and great views over the city, its great value for money and I would recommend it. The food was really nice, simple yet filling I slept well because i have ear plugs so cant say much about the noise

We spent several nights in this hotel, returning to Quito from various directions in Ecuador. The staff were helpful and friendly, the rooms very comfortable. We found the front rooms on the upper floors to be best, as you were further away from street noise, but they were roomier than the back rooms. The 24/7 opening hours of the café... More

Currently typing this from the hotel itself..... been here a few nights. The staff are lovely and very helpful, the breakfast is ok, but the noise is absolutely horrendous!!!! We haven't slept a wink! The party zone is just outside, and the music has been playing until 4am. Tonight we are on one of the top floors round the back,... More

The Hotel Rio Amazonas is one of the best located hotels as far as being close to the main nightlife of Quito and also the business district. The hotel offers very comfortable rooms and it has a fantastic restaurant in the first floor with typical Ecuadorian food, i would say that this is the highlight of the hotel.

This hotel was exactly what we wanted. Friendly, helpful staff, good restaurant, and a clean comfortable room. The staff was also very knowledgeable about local destinations, and having a travel agent right beside the lobby made it that much easier. I would definitely stay here again. Close to downtown and many shops.

Nice hotel, centrally located. Breakfast was included which help to start the day. If you do not mind walking there are several sites to visit. Lots of restaurants around to sample. Word of caution, watch your valuables when walking around at night. One of our party had their phone lifted one evening. Not the hotels fault, as you would visiting... More
