My husband said it all: if we ever come back to Quito, this is the only place he would want to stay. For us, the most charming part of Quito was the old town, including the beautiful churches and museums. This is the perfect location from which to visit these sites, as it is situated on the square of the... More

Casa Gangotena has to be experienced to be believed. It is way above what one might expect in Quito and worth several days stay, just to enjoy the hotel. The bedrooms and public areas are among the best you will find anywhere in the world. It is not perfect, falling down very occasionally on the service. Although all the staff... More

I stayed at Casa Gangotena in May and it was the best hotel experience of my life. The staff is amazing. They try to serve you the best they can and are very polite. One of the front desk managers helped us to find a place to buy a simcard for my phone and walked three blocks with us holding... More

This place is a gem. Beginning with reservations on line, the staff were professional, helpful, and very responsive through email and very gracious. Concierge services were offered remotely and helped our family arrange a day tour, and then cancel it at no charge when our travel delays caused us to miss the tour. When we arrived, very late one evening,... More

Without doubt one of the finest hotels in which we have ever stayed. The rooms are terrific, the staff couldn't be more helpful, friendly and professional. It is superbly located and has a roof top terrace with an amazing view of many parts of Quito. It is terrific for sunrise and sunset photos, of which I took many. Also, the... More

This is an amazing hotel on all fronts - the staff, the service, the property, the furnishings, the ambience. We were fortunate enough to stay here for 3 nights, but it was very hard to leave! The complimentary high tea is delicious and the dining staff don't turn a hair when all you can manage for dinner after all those... More

We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights this month (June, 2014) . We had been traveling for over 60 days staying in many beautiful hotels but nothing that reached the overall experience at the Casa Gangotena Hotel. The welcome was amazing, the rooms spacious and beautifully clean and decorated. The staff were amazing ensuring every minor detail was covered... More

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. It's in the heart of the city and so beautiful, clean and comfortable. Plus, since it's not too safe for tourists at night, it's a great place to have dinner (delicious!) and relax.

On a recent two night stay in Quito we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Upon our late arrival, we were met with fresh sandwiches and tea. We were then given a personal tour of the hotel (it is only 3 floors). We checked into our rooms and we could have thought we were in a hotel in Rome or Paris.... More
