Spent just two nights here with the family A stunning highly individual hotel Clean comfortable , the staff were so accommodating and friendly Food was delicious with impeccable service It has a beautiful atrium filled with highly scented lilies and exotic cut flowers, lots of local reading material of the nearby Galapagos Our room 212 was probably one of the... At over $400 per night this is definitely a splurge for Quito. There is nothing else you can complain about or even criticize. Great staff, excellent tea, lovely meals, super location, drinks on the 3rd floor terrace overlooking the historical city, cozy bar. the hotel however quoted us $120 for an airport transfer but we actually got an official airport... Great historical hotel with the high ceilings, sweeping staircases and luxurious décor. There is an interior courtyard, bar and restaurant on the ground floor. The courtyard is filled with fresh flowers and has a number of coffee table books when you can enjoy some quiet relaxing time. The rooms were large with two queen beds and a large attached bathroom... More

From Marco at the door to the manager, everyone treats you with courtesy and respect and like a returning friend. Stunning rooms guarantee a great night's sleep and the food is as good as any on the continent. A real treat!

Stayed here with my family in connecting rooms. Everything is perfect - the service spectacular. You feel well cared for. Location is beautiful but at the edge of the old town so ask which way not to walk when exploring on foot. Quito can be sketchy, but it is wonderful and beautiful as well. Rooftop terrace was amazing. Teatime was... More

We toured the property and had some refreshments but didn't stay here. It's gorgeous and elegant but there's something unsettling about enjoying such expensive luxury while overlooking a plaza teeming with locals struggling to make a living by selling wares to tourists. If that doesn't bother you, I'm sure you'll enjoy the beautiful architecture and exemplary service (from what we... More

Everything about this hotel is sumptuous! The location, the roof top terrace, the dining room, the indoor courtyard are all enchanting. The staff is lovely and English speaking. We stayed but one night, and were sad to leave. Our friends stayed at the Hotel Plaza Grande - also highly rated on Tip Advisor- but once they visited this hotel and... More

We stayed here for 3 nights before a Galapagos trip and were wowed by the beautiful building. It is a little oasis of calm in a busy city but still well located. We loved our beautiful ornate room and luxurious bathroom. Our room looked out onto a side street – we were aware of the noise from the square but... More

What a beautiful hotel! Tastefully redone. Great rooms, spacious and well-appointed. My recommendation is to avoid the rooms overlooking the streets. You will hear the street noise very early in the morning. The rooms overlooking the internal patio are preferable. The service is excellent and the people are very friendly. Breakfast is excellent. The hotel lacks a gym. Why not... More

We spent two nights here as we were passing through to the Galapagos Islands. I wish it had been more. It is beautiful. Helpful and efficient staff at all levels. Luxurious rooms. Perfect location. My husband needed to see a doctor who was waiting at the hotel on our arrival. The concierge translated and then arranged to have his medicine... More
