We stayed in Ecuador for nearly two weeks, and La Casa Amarilla was our "home base." The owner, Jenny, is exceptionally sweet, helpful and friendly. It really is your home away from home! We went all over the country and kept coming back to Quito and Jenny's home as a way to touch base and get our bearings. She knows... More

We chose La Casa Amarilla as our first place to stay while in Ecuador, a very quaint home like atmosphere from which we could begin our journey enjoying the many sites and scenes of Quito. Upon arriving at the airport in Quito after a long day of flights, our ride from La Casa Amarilla (Steven) was waiting for us and... More

Jenny was very friendly and helpful. I had accidentally made my reservations for the wrong month. I had the right day but a month early, I didn't realize my mistake until I received an email from the booking company asking how my check in at La Casa Amarilla was. I immediately called the booking agency and they contacted Jenny and... More

If you are staying in Quito, this is your place. Jenny welcomes you like family and you will feel at home here. We spent only three nights and would have stayed longer if we could. A quieter neighbourhood away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre and la Mariscal, though close enough to access easily. We loved our... More

First of all, your host Jenny is a ray of sunshine. She is there to assist you with any needs at all to make your stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. The breakfast each morning provided was fresh and lovely. One tip, La Casa Amarilla is in a residential area of Quito. However, just as with many places, remember... More

During your visit to Quito, I highly recommend you stay at La Casa Amarillo. The rooms are clean and comfortable with modern bathrooms and great hot water, and each is decorated differently. Your hostess Jenny is patient and acomodating. Breakfast is at 8:30, and gives you a great opportunity to meet other travelers, or practice your Spanish with Jenny. Jenny... More

I would highly recommend staying at La Casa Amarilla whilst visiting Quito. The house is beautifully decorated. The bedroom was clean and the bathroom was very modern. A lovely and plentiful breakfast at 8:30 am gives you a chance to meet other interesting travelers. Jenny is very kind and spent a good half an hour describing the best sights to... More

What a wonderful place to call home when we were in Quito. We discovered this gem on tripadvisor when we were looking for a place to stay while we went to the US Embassy to renew our passports. We live in Cotacachi, a couple of hours north of Quito and have the need to occasionally visit Quito. After reading the... More

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at La Casa Amarilla for a few nights. Everything was great, specially our welcoming host Jenny. All the guests have breakfast together so it was fun to meet other travelers. The room was clean and very very nice. I am originally from Quito but I live abroad and was very happy to see the... When I first arrived at La Casa Amarilla I met the owner Jenny. She gave me a tour of the casa and I mentioned how beautiful her home is. She was quick to correct me that this was in fact my home while I am in Ecuador. This sentiment is the feeling you get while you are here, Jenny is... More
