We were picked up at the airport and when we reached the hotel we were offered a glass of tree tomato juice which was exotic and delicious. The manager and his spouse were very helpful in directing us to places to visit in the neighbourhood. The administration has a very good command of English. Our hosts, the manager and his... More

My husband I and really enjoyed The City Art Hotel Silberstein, an old home turned into an elegant and interesting cultural experience. The hotel personnel were exceeding gracious and helpful, especially when we wanted to do an excursion to Otovalo, and they arranged a driver for us for the day and made lunch reservations for us at the wonderful Hacienda... Of course, we thought our room (#2) was lovely, too, but the staff catered to our every need--even repairing one of my shoes after a day of walking the city. The location is excellent--near a lot of good restaurants. But what overwhelmed me and my husband was the courtesy and attention given by the staff. Would definitely return!

Silberstein is an aesthete's dream. It's a beautiful former private house, with enormous rooms featuring four poster beds, genuine antique furniture and en suite bathrooms. Breakfast is taken in the light and airy but covered rooftop terrace. Although the staff are friendly and helpful, don't come here expecting room service or concierge tips, massages or fitness facilities. But those would... More

Not sure if the other trip advisors were in a different hotel or not but I would definitely not recommend staying here. The staff does not speak any English which made it very difficult since they said they did not understand my Spanish. Natalie was lovely. The room was nice and big (room 2) with a single canopy bed and... More

We selected Hotel Silberstein because of the Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. In the heart of La Mariscal, it was beautiful, comfortable and secure with an excellent staff. Eddy and Jesse (sp?) were exceptional in all areas as were the rest of the staff. Our stay from Christmas through New Years was without incident. Only downside for... More

My wife and I spent 3 nights at Hotel Silberstein in late Oct. The room, the location and the hotel itself were all grand but paled in comparison to the efficiency and helpfulness of the staff. I'm sure that without Jorge our bags would still be in limbo. Thanks to all for a great stay.

Very lovely hotel in the arts district, the staff at the hotel really took care of us and made us breakfast. Loved the extra touches such as fresh juice and chocolate. Also Cat and Jan really helped us in booking our stay and coordinating a tour for us. Thank you everyone at City Art Hotel Silberstein!

My family and I stayed at the City Art Hotel in Quito 3 times during this trip and had a wonderful stay. The room we stayed in was very well appointed and comfortable with two queen beds. The turn down service was great and the hot water bottles under the covers were a great touch. The highlight of our stay... More

We loved this hotel! It was a fair distance from the airport but perfectly placed other than that. Lots of restaurants nearby and it only cost us a few dollars to get a taxi to the Old Town. Beautiful converted house with a really peaceful feel. The service was amazing, Darwin in particular was so attentive and helpful. He was... More
