This hotel has a touch of luxury and charm. The room I had was very spacious, with sofa as well as a 4 poster bed. Shower would comfortably take 5-6 people. Welcome bar of chocolate. White robe. Wine bottle & glass, with the price list in the room. Only 10 bedrooms. I was asked on arrival what time I would... More

I have stayed at many differnt hotels in Quito. I am partial to the Mariscal district as it is safer than Old Quito and has a much better selection of restaurants. City Art Hotel Silberstein is really lovely. It is a quiet oasis in a noisy area. The double windows on the rooms cut out almost all the noise of... More

A lovely hotell with nice rooms and great atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpsom. The hotel is located in an area with a little noise nightlife. However the noise died down after midnite/1am. Xx

From the moment you walk in the door of this B&B you know it's something special. Gorgeous Ecuadorian roses adorn every lovely room of this beautiful home. Though English is not the first language spoken here, and it can be a small barrier (and I mean small...mostly because I barely speak any Spanish), the hotel staff is unbelievably friendly and... Stayed here at the Silberstein for three nights in September on a work trip. I normally try and stay away from chain hotels for work so opted for the Silberstein, which looked very pleasant from photos on the web. However, rather than being a "boutique" hotel, it is more a relatively simple B&B. Service was ok - nothing special -... More

We were picked up at the airport and when we reached the hotel we were offered a glass of tree tomato juice which was exotic and delicious. The manager and his spouse were very helpful in directing us to places to visit in the neighbourhood. The administration has a very good command of English. Our hosts, the manager and his... More

My husband I and really enjoyed The City Art Hotel Silberstein, an old home turned into an elegant and interesting cultural experience. The hotel personnel were exceeding gracious and helpful, especially when we wanted to do an excursion to Otovalo, and they arranged a driver for us for the day and made lunch reservations for us at the wonderful Hacienda... Of course, we thought our room (#2) was lovely, too, but the staff catered to our every need--even repairing one of my shoes after a day of walking the city. The location is excellent--near a lot of good restaurants. But what overwhelmed me and my husband was the courtesy and attention given by the staff. Would definitely return!

Silberstein is an aesthete's dream. It's a beautiful former private house, with enormous rooms featuring four poster beds, genuine antique furniture and en suite bathrooms. Breakfast is taken in the light and airy but covered rooftop terrace. Although the staff are friendly and helpful, don't come here expecting room service or concierge tips, massages or fitness facilities. But those would... More

Not sure if the other trip advisors were in a different hotel or not but I would definitely not recommend staying here. The staff does not speak any English which made it very difficult since they said they did not understand my Spanish. Natalie was lovely. The room was nice and big (room 2) with a single canopy bed and... More
