I'd stay here again. The location is great, just a few blocks from the main touristy area. We did not have any problems with our room and there were nice touches like bottles of water left for us and bathrobes (hooray for bathrobes!). There is a lot of common area in the building with big comfortable couches if you want... More

Casa San Marcos is an old 18th century Spanish home which was restored in the early 2000's. It features an art gallery, amazing décor and a restaurant. There are only 6 rooms and each one is uniquely designed to be different from the other. It is so quaint that a stay here is not like staying in a Hotel but... More

Casa San Marcos is an exceptionally beautiful property filled with colonial furniture and art located in Old Town. It is located 3 short blocks from Plaza Grande in a quiet and safe street. Very good breakfast .What stands out the most however is the exceptional service provided by Claudia, Maria, Timoteo and Jorge who went out of their way to... More

Even though the focus of my trip was Cumbaya, I chose to stay at the Casa San Marcos, not only for the attention and enjoyment I get staying at this wonderful historical place, but for it's location, is central to many activities and also with easy access to my destination point. Cumbaya is a satellite upper scale community, The climate... More

We had a two night stay in this fascinating hotel. Very friendly staff who do their best to please. The room we stayed in had three beds , a large double and a single bed.The bed was very comfortable which is important to us, and the bathroom facilities were exceptionally interesting as they were behind an open partition. This caused... More

This boutique hotel is well located in the historic center of Quito. The common areas are beautifully appointed with nice artwork, the food was good and the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. BUT....considering the $225 price (before 22% taxes), the room was disappointing. While it was relatively large with a separate sitting area, two full beds... More

Three of stayed in this fantastic former mansion and loved everything about the place. From having someone at the check-in desk around the clock (late arrival from Houston) to the delicious breakfast made every morning, the attention to your needs is apparent. They let us keep our bags there, at no charge, while we took what we needed to the... More

Casa San Marcos felt like a home in the quaint, historic district of Quito. My fiancée and I stayed here and loved the proximity to the palace (get up early on Monday mornings to see the president at the changing of the guard), museums, and restaurants. A word of caution: Ecuadorian food is not exactly vibrant. You will be eating... More

We were impressed the moment we stepped in at Casa San Marcos - beautifully decorated with its lovely antiques and furnishings throughout! Quito is interesting not only for the equator highlights but the town itself has become a safe and interesting place in itself. This hotel was a highlight of the trip with its antiques, art gallery, great breakfast and general ambience. Highly recommend the vegetarian restaurant at the end of the street as well.
