After traveling for nearly 5 hours via road, when my family (including elderly parents and children booked in prepaid rooms through travel sites) wanted to check in around 10 PM, they refused to open the main gate stating that they dont have rooms. The confirmation proof we had didn't make a difference. After our driver-guide expressed scorn at their behavior,... More

Stayed at the Plaza Sucre for 4 nights while visiting Old Town Quito. Hotel was comfortable with great / immediate access to Old Town Quito. Breakfasts were very good and facilities certainly adequate with friendly & helpful staff. Easy walking to all of the Old Town in a safe area. Our room was a little dark, but spacious and clean.... I had a very small room opening to the courtyard (102). From 7am the staff is cleaning, banging, etc. At night guests clomping around. So poor sleep quality. Otherwise okay, decent value, ok breakfast buffet with steam table scrambled eggs, salami, cheese, yogurt, fruit and juice choices. Rooms have safes. Although the bed room was tiny the bath was reasonably large.... More

Love this place and so happy to have found it. Beautiful historic building in Old Town, close to Independence Plaza. Great, friendly helpful staff. Nice rooms, good breakfast with a gorgeous view. Can't say enough good things.

Everything is right with this hotel -- location in the historic center of Quito, service, very friendly and helpful and happy staff, great breakfast with wonderful view from the restaurant, beautiful lobby, historic building, common area with free coffee, tea, computers with internet and comfortable seating areas. Good price to value ratio.

We stayed two different days in one week and it was nice both times. The rooms are comfortable. The staff were friendly and bi-lingual. The breakfast was nice and the breakfast room had a lovely view. I enjoyed the computer although there was WiFi. Nice open areas for people.

the hotel was great, with great views, clean, colonial, close to the center of town. However, the front desk clerk on Sunday morning was not very helpful and should have avoided an ugly encourter I had with a taxi driver. The taxi driver got upset and the clerk should have told him to leave the hotel and made sure that... More

Clean, comfortable and well situated in the historic district. Beds were comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. Good selection for breakfast with eggs cooked to order and wonderful fresh fruit.

Our first visit to Plaza Sucre was exquisite. The room was sumptuous, very comfortable, beautifully furnished. The hosts were very helpful. The buffet breakfast was more than we expected - a huge variety of baked goods, fruit, yogurt, all good.
