I stayed 7 days in this hotel, from which 5 I had to have shower with cold water. Every day we complained and asked for their support to fix it or to change rooms but they did not solve the problem, causing a lot of stress. We saw other tourists complaining of the same problem. Moreover, the location is very... More

We booked Hotel Boutique Plaza Sucre through booking.com for almost a week this past Christmas and New Year's holidays. The voucher I received and printed said especifically we had booked a room with balcony, when getting there we didn't have that and they claimed the balcony is optional and you can have that only when the hotel has rooms with... The room was nice and plenty big. We had a little balcony over the street. The hotel feels sort of large and cold to me. Our biggest complaint was the wifi. It just wouldn't work in our room - we had to go to lobby to book our next hotel. The breakfast was quite good -- one of the best... More

The hotel was attractive inside, the bed comfortable, the room clean. The staff were helpful, happy not to accept advance payment as my Expedia booking email hadn't appeared with its discounted price. The breakfast was reasonably good, with a nice view at the top of the hotel. I hadn't read the security concerns in advance, but kept my valuables with... More

I like this hotel, the layout, the ambiance, the rooftop restaurant for breakfast, the artwork, the sitting areas, the location. However, they have serious security issues that they need to fix. If they didn't have these problems I would give them 4 stars. While I was there a couple had cash in their room safe replaced with counterfeit money. This... More

We stayed three nights at the Hotel Boutique Plaza Sucre and found the hotel an oasis of calm, quiet and beauty that provided welcome respite from Quito's fast-paced and slightly edgy streets. Soft music playing over the lobby intercom greeted us, as did the paintings and sculptures of local artists that adorned the walls and open spaces throughout the hotel.... More

On the surface this hotel is quite nice, clean rooms, good location, nice breakfast room on the upper terrace. Unfortunately the security is terrible, we checked in to room 214 which is one of the only rooms not covered by security cameras went to dinner, the next morning discovered $100 note missing from a wallet locked in the room safe.... Although we only stayed at this hotel for one night, we found the front desk staff to be very friendly and helpful. Their English was excellent, and they went out of their way to answer all of our questions. Our room was spacious, clean, had a fantastic shower, and even had a small balcony. Yes, our safe key was not... More

Nice Boutique Hotel in the Center of the Historic District. We stayed at the Plaza Sucre for three nights at the beginning of our Ecuador trip. The hotel is walking distance to the Plaza Grande, Plaza San Francisco and the up and coming Il Rondo area. After our Amazon Adventure and our Southern Ecuador Adventure we had to return through...
