We have been traveling in Ecuador for 3 weeks. All our lodging experience has been good, except this one. Their service is simply blunt. We have an early flight tomorrow morning and need to get up at 5 am, and I am still waiting for my laundry back as of now, around 9:30 pm. The front desk simply said this... More

Good location with beautiful plaza around. Nice and clean rooms, boutique and interesting decoration everywhere. Especially there is a cosy cafe bar ( Cafe Dios no Muere) in the corner for a couple of drinks and snacks! Oh, and pretty awesome wifi. Avoid rooms near common area or without windows.

We ended up staying here 5 nights while we toured old and new Quito. We also used this as our base for a few out-of-town trips. It's right in the heart of old Quito, walking distance to the presidential palace, the old churches and the Virgin of Quito statue. We had no problems booking first 3 nights on line through... More

Ecuadorians are way too concerned about getting paid than providing great service and comfortability. When you arrive in Ecuador you get the feeling that they don't trust many individuals. The biggest problem being the amount of people living there and the crime you don't see. At this hotel and others their rooms are ok, not what we consider a 4... More

We stayed here for 2 nights when we first got into Quito - I had called them and ended up making reservations on booking.com (the hotel advised me that in this case I would get a better rate that way) - our taxi driver from the airport had a little trouble finding the place but once he found it and... After traveling for nearly 5 hours via road, when my family (including elderly parents and children booked in prepaid rooms through travel sites) wanted to check in around 10 PM, they refused to open the main gate stating that they dont have rooms. The confirmation proof we had didn't make a difference. After our driver-guide expressed scorn at their behavior,... More

Stayed at the Plaza Sucre for 4 nights while visiting Old Town Quito. Hotel was comfortable with great / immediate access to Old Town Quito. Breakfasts were very good and facilities certainly adequate with friendly & helpful staff. Easy walking to all of the Old Town in a safe area. Our room was a little dark, but spacious and clean.... I had a very small room opening to the courtyard (102). From 7am the staff is cleaning, banging, etc. At night guests clomping around. So poor sleep quality. Otherwise okay, decent value, ok breakfast buffet with steam table scrambled eggs, salami, cheese, yogurt, fruit and juice choices. Rooms have safes. Although the bed room was tiny the bath was reasonably large.... More

Love this place and so happy to have found it. Beautiful historic building in Old Town, close to Independence Plaza. Great, friendly helpful staff. Nice rooms, good breakfast with a gorgeous view. Can't say enough good things.
