We arrived at 5am where we agreed a $10 fee for 5hrs (check-out 10am). In the morning at 10am he grouped up on my girlfriend and I and forced us to pay $18, he denied agreeing to $10. I don't like to complain but that is not acceptable behaviour, especially from the owner and then to group up on my... More

After checking in first night from not being able to make it to Banos(due to avalanches blocking off traffic to banos) we decided to go on the following day to Papallacta, on the owners recommendation. When we got to the bus terminal we were told traffic to Papallacta was being blocked so once again we decided to embark to Banos.... More

Good location. Good breakfast. Clean rooms and bathrooms, wifi is ok, staff are friendly. Looked like they were renovating the place. Happy to stay again. The staff also gave some good recommendations for local and cheap food in the neighborhood which turned out well.

I got a good value private room here which also had a bathroom for $15. The room itself was on the very top floor facing the courtyard. The courtyard outside could be very loud and I imagine some people would struggle to sleep with the noise. I didn't like how when I was trying to check out the lady in... More

Rooms are spotless and the bonus of a towel and free soap provided is always good. Staff friendly and plenty hot water. Wifi signal ok but no signal in my room. Nice roof terrace. I arrived late at night, 2am, and door was locked - thankfully no need to panic as the friendly staff opened the door after one ring... More

2 nights here. Didn't sleep a wink. The owners dogs plus all the local owned and steady dogs bark outside all night!!!! All night!!! Then there's the common room upstairs which had the best wifi spot, so if you're room is near it you hear people skyping and playing music all night. The kitchen is private so no way to... More

This hostel was comfortable for our stay in Quito. It is a bit of a walk from the Mariscal Sucre, the main tourist area, however close to the old town. A taxi to the Mariscal Sucre is not very expensive though so after dark this is a must as Quito is not very safe. The room was clean and comfortable,... More

The room was ok, the bed wasn't confortable at all and it was pretty noisy at night. The bathroom had a weird smell that it even got into my clothes. You could pratictly hear everything in the other room. I stayed for a couple of days because i was never in my room so it wasn't a big deal for... More

The staff of the hotel doesn´t talk to you and ignoring you as much as possible. Even saying ´hi´ is too much for them. There is a coffee lounch which is mostly closed. Most of the staff doesn´t speak english. It made a horrible athmospheer. The bed was as hard as a stone, i never felt something like that before.... More

Most of the reviews on tripadvisor appear to be positive. With that and the $20 a night rate, why not? After the first night of our reservation, we left. The room and bathroom both had an odd smell. We couldn't really figure it out. The bed had two definite divots and the pillows felt like deteriorating styrofoam. There were exposed... More
