This is a small hotel in the Mariscal section of Quito that is furnished with great vintage looking furniture, at least half a dozen 4'x8' gold-framed mirrors, and a great variety of artwork on the walls. It was $20 a night. Breakfast was included. The staff and manager were very helpful and friendly, assisting me with calls to my airline and letting me use the computer behind the front desk to check my email. An all-around great experience. The restaurant just below the hotel (which I think is associated with Koronado, but I'm not sure) was also a great find-- inexpensive good food and helpings so large that I actually laughed when the plate was put in front of me because the serving size was so enormous! more
