First of all this place is NO WHERE NEAR the airport (at very least 1 - 1 1/2 hours away and a $30 cab). We chose this place solely because some reviews said it was close and it came up in a few "near airport" google searches. Anyway we pre-booked using booking.com and right away received and email from Francisco... More

Francisco is awesome. He is very responsive, you can email him and he'll get back to you, will offer suggestions and is generally helpful. It also seems like he doesn't sleep as he was there when we arrived late and also when we were up early the next morning. He even prepared breakfast for us though it wasn't really his... More

Are you an eager first-time traveler in Ecuador, hoping to be close to the "action" of the city, meet some other travelers, go out for a night on the town, and get a feel for nightlife? This hostel is NOT for you. Do you travel regularly in Ecuador (and thus don't need to be in la Mariscal, since you know... More

After missing our flight and not being able to let Fransisco know we were on a later flight, we still got a warm & friendly welcome! One of our party did not make the stand by, we were stressed and tired and it was really late, so it was wonderful to be met by a smiling face even after he... More

Wow! This is absolutely the WORST place I have ever stayed during my travels in Latin America. The first thing I noticed was that the room smelled bad. Like old pee. Actually, EVERYTHING smelled bad. The next thing I experienced was that the walls are so thin that it is like I was trying to sleep in someone else's living... More

I stayed at the hostal for one night and arrived at the airport after 1am. It was fantastic to have the guys waiting for us and take us to the hostal. We were quickly shown our room and went to sleep for the night. Left early the next morning to stay elsewhere in Quito. The two staff who picked us... More

I stayed here 2 nights, once before leaving for the US, and the other, coming back from the US. Both times I managed to unfortunately get in around 2AM and the staff could not have been any more accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and I highly recommend it as it is close to the airport.

Given the traffic and taxis around Quito, being close to the airport the night before departure was very helpful. The staff is friendly and accommodating. However, the bed was not the most comfortable, the walls were not highly sound-proof, and our hot water wasn't working. We're not sorry we stayed there, but for an extended stay in Quito, consider other... More

I recently travelled to Ecuador for a short vacation. On my return journey, I had a 10 hour overnight layover at the Quito Airport and chose to stay overnight at Hostal Isla Isabela instead of hanging out at the airport for 10 hours. The hostal is located in a vintage mid-century modern house, about a four-minute drive from the airport,... More

A wonderful bed and breakfast. Very close to the airport, attentive, friendly service and a delicious breakfast. The free airport pickup at any hour of the day was wonderful. We felt very welcomed and comfortable here.
