We were looking for a small, unique hotel in Quito during a recent trip. We were delighted to pick this one on a recommendation of a tour provider. It is a former doctor's mansion turned into a 10-12 room hotel. Nice size rooms and good breakfast with made-to-order omelets. The front desk and staff are very helpful, accommodating, and spoke... This is the sweetest, cutest, most charming place that is just dripping with character. We loved it! Great staff and beautiful property. My only suggestion to the hotel would be to please replace the carpet....It's time!!

I stayed at Casa Aliso on the front end and the backend of my trip to the rainforest. The building is a large, classic house with individual rooms scattered about. My room was comparable if not nicer than a regular hotel room. Where Casa Aliso really did it for me was the service. I had multiple travel issues when I... More

We stayed after late flight into Quito, before heading to the highlands. The hotel has interesting local character. Our room, in the back overlooking a garden, was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was excellent, and all of the staff were helpful and eager to please.

Our flight arrived very late but we had a car and driver hired to meet us at the airport and drive us to Casa Aliso. We arrived at the hotel around midnight and were met by someone at reception. We only spent that evening. We were on the ground floor in the back and it was very quiet. The picture... More

This is a very comfortable small boutique hotel located in the New Town part of Quito which is very sedate neighbourhood and not super noisy at night - but there is noise! Staff are friendly and helpful and they will store luggage between stays. The breakfast omelettes are excellent. There are a number or restaurants nearby but we like La... More

This is a lovely house with pleasant rooms and attractive decor. However, we had a room facing towards a main road so were kept awake by traffic noise, which continues until after midnight and starts again in earnest around 5.30am so this is NOT the hotel for you if you are a light sleeper. We were advised by the hotel... More

Stayed here on our last night in Quito. Staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke fluent English. The house itself is beautiful. The rooms were very spacious and bathrooms clean and well equipped with hair dryer and bathrobes. All round it was a lovely place to stay. It's out in the new Town but has nice restaurants within minutes... More

We left Baltimore in a snowstorm, our first flight having been cancelled and wound up spending the night at an airport. So instead of getting to Quito mid afternoon, we arrived after midnight the following day. Not to worry, there was a nice young man with excellent English waiting to greet us and show us our room. Were we happy!... More
