Tonight is our last of 7 nights. The place is immaculate, room 15 had beautiful views, and the service has been simply fantastic. Breakfasts are sumptuous, and the staff cannot do enough to help us out. Super place, super value!

We stayed for one night at Aleida's Hostal. The rooms are simple, but clean. The bathroom had some problems with water leaking from the sink onto the floor. Unfortunately there was a group of teenagers staying the same night as us, and they were partying and drinking until about 1 AM, in the rooms as well as in the hallways.... More

In Oct 2014 we stayed for about 10 days at Aleida's Hostal in Quito. The hostal is very pleasant, located in quiet residential neighborhood and immaculately clean. Average-sized rooms and small bathrooms -- typical for the price range. Wifi was mostly good. The hostal is located about 4 blocks from the popular Mariscal Sucre district, which could be an issue... Elena is a real mother for their clients: advice for everything, wake-up, taxis's calling, early breakfast. Hence, the stay in her hostal is like to be at home. Good place, perfect cleanness, confort for this price: excellent.

Our family (9) stayed here in June while visiting the Galapagos, Amazon and Andean Higlands. Elena Acurio made us feel right at home and was the perfect host. When our daughter got sick she prepared soup for her. She arranged for transportation to and from the airport. It is a beautiful, comfortable and clean place and short taxi ride from... More

Great place, and the owner Ellana was extremely nice and accommodating. A small breakfast is included too. It's 3 floors so be prepared to climb a few stairs in a high altitude!!! Louise picked us up from the airport and took us to the bus station and made everything go very smoothly!!! It's also near a good restaurant district as... More

Elena is a wonderful host and will try to help you if she can. She doesn't speak much English but I found that we could communicate very well via Google Translate. It takes about 10 mins to walk to Mariscal Sucre/Plaza Foch and the supermarket is a few blocks away. The neighborhood itself is quiet and I felt safe here.... More

I'm genuinely surprised at all of the positive comments that have been left, and with many of the reviewers having only given 1-3 reviews... I can't help but speculate if the reviews are indeed genuine. We found our room to be very clean, but when we went down to use the kitchen to make popcorn for a snack, I was... More

Elena the owner is GREAT Location makes it easy to reach Plaza Foch and Colonial Historic District and to business areas. I think to conserve they turn off hot water heater in the evenings but it is hot and with good pressure in the mornings.

We stayed for 3 nights. Pros: Elena was lovely and super helpful! It was spotless. The showers were hot and the pressure was really good. Nice safe area and a short walk from the new town. I didn't notice any problems with noise. Lovely breakfast. Cons: We were so cold. Both in the communal areas and in our room. You... More
