Manoir Atkinson is a small hotel with only seven rooms. It is located very convenient on Cerro Concepcion with a lot good restaurants nearby and the access to city center by funicular only minutes away. We booked a room on second floor with direct access to a terrace, but got a room on first floor. This was somewhat lucky as... More

My wife and I spent 2 nights at this wonderful little hotel at the end of our South American cruise. It is located in Cerro Concepcion, a short "Ascensore" ride from the city's waterfront and plazas. The hotel only has seven rooms on two levels so the atmosphere is intimate and relaxed. We found the staff friendly and most helpful,... More

Situated on a hill directly overlooking the city below this is a quaint timber hotel with a colourful exterior and warm natural timber internal furnishings. Good access to surrounding city sites as it is well located near several furniculars. Also located near some very good restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful but you will have to scale the stairs... More

Trip Advisor reviews steered us to Manoir Atkinson. ...to our delight. It is a French Boutique B&B located on a terrace overlooking the harbor. The owners Judith and Jaime and staff were just first rate. It also has quaint sitting room and outdoor patio for enjoying wine which they serve, The breakfasts were very special with homemade quiche or other... More

This is a boutique hotel hence you shouldn't expect to find all the little extras that come with large chain hotels. There are 37 hills in Valparaiso and the Manoir is situated on one of them - Concepcion Hill. If you really want to appreciate the big picture of this city and be at a safe distance from appears to... More

We stayed for two nights and found the hotel disappointing in most areas. I don't want to sound unreasonably critical so the reasons for my criticism are: Service: We do not speak Spanish and I have no expectations that everyone should speak English. However, the hotel advertises itself as Spanish/French/English speaking but this is not the case. Apart from a... More

We stayed for 2 nights in one of the top floor rooms, and had a wonderful time. The hotel is small, colonial-French inspired, on a small street on a hill. Not easy to find at the first try, but taxis know the location. Rooms are also small but very cute, well decorated, with large, comfortable beds and excellent quality bedding... More

We had room 7 with a small balcony and a fabulous view of the ocean. The room was charming with interesting art and a very comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and helpful when asked for suggestions about sightseeing, etc. We enjoyed the breakfast and felt the service was excellent.

You'll stay in a small house with actually only 6 or 8 bed rooms, I understand. The local flair of bygone era created by creaking wooden floors and stairs, comfy easy chairs around a fireplace and round or smaller square tables for breakfast on the other side of all the same "living room" plung you in the atmosphere of the... The Manoir Atkinson offered a clean very pleasant place to stay in a very cool city. The views from the hotel's two roofs are wonderful. It is a good bargain in terms of price and had really good continental breakfasts. Though you have walk hills wherever you are in Valparaiso, the Atkinson was centrally located and it was very easy... More
