I stayed seven nights in the room called "Luces" or Lights. It was clean, nicely maintained, with a private bathroom and had a great view of the hills of Valparaiso and a bit of the port. I did hear minimal port noise the first few nights, but soon got used to it. The stay was part of a package arranged... More

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. We were travelling with our friends. Our room was the ocean view. The views were amazing.....Huge big windows overlooking the mountain and harbour. Our hostess Anna was fantastic. Very accommodating. She could not speak very good English but we got by very well. My husband speaks some Spanish so that did help.... More

Excellent service that delivers what one needs ... it is worth paying the extra for the rooms with a view. Wonderful location, it can be clearly seen from Pablo Neruda's house. Fine breakfast, nice people, staying there is a very pleasant experience. Access may prove dificult after 19.30 as the shuttle from the low level town to the high level... More

Dear Uncle_Martin, you sure know how to make us feel special. We are proud to be located in the most historic part of Valparaíso, even though just like you said it can get a little hard for visitors to walk up the Artillería hill. That being said we feel extremely grateful to receive guests like you who are willing to... More

We stayed here for 3 days Mar 15/14 and thought it was very good value for our money. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast and rooms were great. We met many wonderful people from many countries. The view of the city and port from our rooms was spectacular. The only downside was that the funicular(sp) was not working.

Dear LambtonReggie, thank you for such warm, honest comments. They will only push us to focus on our service and improve it as much as we can for future visitors. It is also a downside for us not to count with the ascensor, reason why we have been pushing hard for a quicker repairment. We will keep joining our neighbours... More

Beautiful old house with amazing views from our triple room. We loved the hearty, communal breakfast - one of the best we've encountered. Really appreciated being welcomed on our arrival, after a long journey, with a proper cup of tea and a biscuit!! Fabulous comfy clean rooms and bathrooms, guest kitchen, great location.

The best B & B. The new owners could not have been more accomodating. Ana drove me to the bus station to buy tickets when I was unable to purchase them online, depite her help. Her daughters and nieces are always around to help with anything. Their home became our home for the three days we were there. Clean, quaint... More

We were lucky enough to stay with Ana and her family at The Yellow House. We were fortunate to have a room with a view (Luces) which provided a lovely night time view of the city. The area of... More

I never booked anything more than 2 or 3 months ahead, but the Yellow House was the exception. The fireworks in new year's eve are a popular attraction for Chileans and foreigners alike, and rooms filled out quite quickly. I was a bit upset because although we booked the room in June, we didn't get the one we wanted and... More
