Loved the location and pretty much everything about the hotel. It's nothing fancy but welll kept and free WiFi. The food at the restaurant can be fair to very good...truly depends on what they're serving. We were not bothered, but the street noise in front rooms can be quite noisy / loud. More

The most attractive places of Valparaíso are up on the hills. The flat area in downtown (called "el plan" in Chilean Spanish) has some nice spots too (el Puerto, for instance) but being very centrally located is not necessarily an advantage here. You just step out the front door into a small pedestrian mall and there is lots of shopping, cafes and restaurants in the nearby streets, a bus and trolley car stop next door and a short walk to the train station. This was the most terrible hotel I've ever stayed at! Though this hotel is rated as a 4-star, it was inadequate in every way. The room was very noisy, the beds uncomfortable, the staff incompetent and the breakfast was inedible. I would very strongly advise against staying in this hotel. More
