I tried to review this hotel back in January but apparently the owner (in Santiago) kept contesting it saying I never stayed there. Sigh. To sum up: it did the job but it was a constant game of cat and mouse to try and find someone who seemed to know what they were doing. After making a reservation on Expedia... More

Before taking a South American cruise, we stayed one night at the Vineyard Inn. Situated up the high hills of Valparaiso, it was an experience just travelling the winding roads to the hotel. Upon our arrival we were booked in quickly and our bags were taken to our rooms by Phillipe. We reserved the penthouse suite for a few more... More

We stayed for 3 nights. No hot water. Breakfast service and food was TERRIBLE. Cold eggs dry cold toast. The srambled egg portion was to be shared between the 2 of us and it was only a 1 egg portion. The water pipes made a strange sound throughout the night. The room had a heater but don't bother turning them... More

I chose this hotel because its location and because it seemed different from the other hotels I had looked at. From this point of view I was not disappointed in any way. It would have been nice the if the elevator serving this "cerro" had worked but that had nothing to do with the hotel. We considered an extra workout... More

We stayed five nights, booked it ourselves based on the website and gave credit card for the deposit. Day 3 we were approached by the hostess who said we must pay now and in cash. We said we couldn't. We queried why and were told their credit card machine wasn't functioning. She said go to the bank and we refused... More

We stayed two nights at this hotel after getting off a cruise ship. Most the people staying had come from cruise ships. The hotel staff was nice enough to store our luggage until our room was ready about 2:30 pm. That was the good part. Our room was small with a shared patio with 4 other rooms which made for... More

We had prepaid our 2 night stay in Valparaiso here. Our flight was delayed so we did not arrived until 1 a.m. - only to arrive and find out the hotel locks down after 10 p.m. and has NO night staff. Lucky for us, the nightman at the RC Art Deco across the street let us in and they had... More

We had made two reservations (pre-paid) through Expedia, each for one room, one night. When the four of us showed up at the Hotel to check in they had only one room. Even though I showed them two pre-paid reservations, two reservation numbers etc the woman at the desk just shook her head and sighed. She spoke no English, there... More

The property was as described but very disappointing. The bedding was very nice. Views were amazing, but that is not unique to this property, most in Valparaiso would. But, amenities were minimal tiny bar of soap and two small shampoos, breakfast of dry toast and weak coffee and small amount of fruit. The wi-fi was only sufficient to the lobby.... More

We booked here because it had good reviews on Trip Advisor. When we arrived, at 2:00 pm in the afternoon, the door was locked. We rang 5 times before the person sitting in the lobby opened the door. She was the cleaning staff. Finally, the English speaking guy came in and demanded our passports to write the number in a... More
