We arrived on New Year’s Eve to the RC Deco Hotel. The hotel itself was beautiful and the location was pretty good if you wanted to be near the art scene however, we would have preferred to be closer to the beach. Due to the time we went, we paid a premium of $400/night therefore, we were expecting a little... More

We stayed in this lovely Boutique Hotel in September 2013 (sorry for late post). We enjoyed everything about the hotel and greatly appreciated the support received from the staff, Jenny and Alex. Highly recommend and I just hope they survived the recent fires in Valpo.

The location of the hotel is not ideal. It is not located in the main tourist district, given the cost of the hotel this is especially disappointing. The only real attraction nearby is the Pablo Neruda House about a 15 minute uphill walk from the hotel. One restaurant across the street, not much else in the area. The walk down... More

We stopped by on our way back to room and had a fantastic lunch in the outside courtyard. The lady who served us was delightful and very efficient. Our meal was prompt and tasty. 2 glasses of Chardonnay, a main course each and a shared desert were more than enough to satisfy our growling stomachs.

This is a very original, well designed contemporary hotel with a playful take on the intimate architecture of the Valparaiso cerros. True, the rooms are quite small, but well appointed (unless you take the two suites with panoramic views, which are gorgeous), but this is more than made up by the spacious communal terrace room with high ceilings, distinct function... Very interesting place. First of all, a challenge find. The winding hilly roads in Valparaiso are a real experience. We had a car and once we found the place we parked in their secure compound and left it there until we left. Room was OK but the bathroom - no hot water - sometimes no water at all. I guess... More

Character plus++ and an impressive (day or night) view of .... almost everything including the harbour - especially from our upgrade to the 'penthouse'. (48 steps and no elevator but it was worth it!) The staff was super helpful and the marine themed decor added a great atmosphere. Coffee, cappuccino and snacks in the common room made our one day... A lovely little hotel with a very interesting atmosphere. The location is on top of one of the many hills, so you will have a great view over most of the city. The hotel itself seem to be constructed by adding a room over two houses, so the little alley that used to be between them is now part of... More

The Art Deco Hotel is one of many remodeled buildings in Valparaiso that have been turned into boutique hotels in recent years, each of which has its own unique character. The Art Deco’s location is pretty good – straight up the hill from the main park/square and a few blocks below Neruda’s San Sebastian House. The neighborhood is quiet and... More

We ended up staying at this hotel even though we had booked at the Valparaiso Vineyard Inn - which locks its doors after 10 p.m. and has no night staff - wished we would have booked here from the start. Very quaint hotel with tons of character. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.
