For more than 6 months i was used to going there for a few nights, and it became a kind of second home. It is well located, clean, and the back yard does not make you feel like being in such a big city. The staff is just adorable, helpful, and very friendly, and make you feel as if you... More

Old style hostel with pretty basic facilities in a good location within Provedencia. Our room was old & and in need of a good clean. Breakfast was unorganised so we decided to go for a walk & buy our own instead. Happy our stay here was only for one night.

I stayed at Atacama Hostel with my former partner last month and was severely scalded on 50% of my back by hot water from their shower. The shower flashed me with hot water, which was near its boiling temperature, and because the bathrooms themselves are quite dirty and unsafe, I fell across the bathroom floor into a pool of boiling... the bad stuff: 1. they showed us a nice spacious double room and we agreed on a price. later that day they contacted me and said that the room was actually booked for someone. so we got a different, much smaller room for an expensive price. not nice but this is ok, an honest mistake that could happen to anyone....
