Andes is divided cinto anos hotel with dorms and private rooms, as well , apartment blocks located on a separate building a block away. We spend 3 nights in one of the standard apartments. This is a private residential high rise block where Andes has a few flats. These allow a bit more flexibility as they are fully furnished, have... More

Arrived in late, met by friendly multilingual staff. Rooms were as expected, basic, clean and comfortable. Staff answered any queries and made very good recommendations re places to eat. Down side.... was noisy out side and in the early hours when some residents arrived back in from the bars. That said my companion heard nothing. great central location.

pros: Place is nice. May be a little bit too expensive to be honest, but other hostels charge you the same for less, so its ok. nice bed linen kitchen-sofas tv-pool table-breakfast cons: although towels are included, its VERY hard to get them. They are constantly "out of towels" (??) wifi NOT in the rooms we switch one night to... More

After exploring the entire city, Bella Artes is by far the best area to stay in. We booked in for 4 nights and two apartments for three of us. These are studio apartments in a large multi building apartment complex. 'The Andes Apartments' are just a small random collection in this skyrise complex. They are all identical, nicely decorated and... More

This is a huge apartment block run by the same people who operate a hostel a block away. You check in at the hostel front desk and have breakfast at the hostel. The people at the front desk speak perfect English and could not be more helpful. The hostel/apartment is in a central part of town, just 5 minutes walk... More

We are just ending our Chile / Argentina vacation with our final 2 days at Andes Apartments. I can only say fantastic. The apartment is much more than we ever expected and very reasonable price for what you get. We started our trip one month ago at the Andes Hostel which was good too. From the hotel staff, English speaking... More

Sadly, unlike many hostels in South America we found this one overrated. Staff were rude or indifferent at best, hostel could have been cleaner, reception lounge area is poky and the storage area was a place where bags were thrown rather than placed, the airless kitchen and breakfast area beneath street level and rooms small and noisy....and really overpriced compared... We stayed there 3 nights in a private bedroom with private bath. 4 floors without elevator, a little bit too noisy, but the room was nice and clean as the bathroom. The staff is young, fun and helpful. Breakfast was rich and tasty with eggs, bread, butter, jam, juices. Great location right in front of the Bellas Artes metro station,... More

Stayed 4 nights in the double room at the hostel. The building is just across Bellas Artes metro, a funky area with Museo de Bellas Artes, Lastarria street and GAM Cultural Centre within walking distance in one side, and Plaza de las Armas and Mercado Central region in the other side. Location is definitely fantastic and the staff is really... More

Photos are a bit misleading, as they are all of the apartments. The hostel rooms are very bare, barely fit two people in them. They were bunk beds and we couldn't get to the top one very easily. Positive is the great staff. They were so nice and helpful. The location is also good, good for 24 hours.
