Had a great time at La Chimba. It appears to be a well established backpacker hostel in Santiago. I met many travelers there and everyone seemed to like the place. Its located in the bar district Bellavista, so it was perfect for going out for drinks with fellow hostel guests. Staff could have been more knowledgable about places to recommend.... More

I enjoyed my stay at La Chimba. The location was great in Bella Vista and the Santiago Pub Crawl meeting point was across the street from the hostel which was convenient. I loved the laberynthic architecture and the amazing artwork scattered around. The room was clean and I felt safe.

lots of common areas, activities, free fast wifi, young friendly staff, clean rooms... this place pretty much ticked everything i expected from it.. the location was truly unbeatable as far as bars, club and nightlife went.
