Stayed La Chimba twice on my trip. Stayed three days at the beginning and was busy but still quiet enough for you to sleep but still active enough for you to meet travelers and mingle. The location is brilliant in Bellavista and close to downtown and all the main attractions. The pre-arrival information was spot on and give you great... More

I stayed for 3 nights in a 6 person dorm. Enjoyed it, nice staff, perfect location. You can pretty much walk anywhere. They throw some activities but the place is big and you can stay out of the crowd if you don't want to join in. Good beds, clean rooms and facilities. Highly recommend it.

This is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. If you are a somewhat experienced backpacker or traveller you will like this place. Great location, chilled atmosphere with friendly staff, close friendships with other guests, cool activities and stuff to do. The fast wifi is also the best I ever came across un South America.

It's walkable to most attractions in Santiago. The rooms were clean, and really easy to meet other travelers. Enjoyed the pub crawl. Thing I didn't like was that there weren't enough outlets in the dorm for 4 people wanting to charge laptops and phones.

Great loction and very nice staff. We stayed in a private double room, the room was okay and the bed were comfortable. In general its what I expect from a hostel. It´s a bit noisy and the breakfast is okay. Considering the price, location and friendly staff; I would definitivly stay here again.

We only stayed one night at this hostel and I'm very glad. The 8 bed dorm we were in was absolutely freezing, no heating. But the beds are comfortable enough. The breakfast was very average - the usual bread, jam and some fruits. The staff seemed nice enough. I just think this place is way too overpriced for what it... More

I paid extra to stay in a private room but the door had a broken window so was a bit noisy when there were guests outside the room. The heater and TV in the room did not work and the breakfast was pretty ordinary. Bed was comfortable but I did find one bug in there. Best thing is the great... More

Is confortable and it has a good ubication in the city, but the real prices are different to the prices in the promotional pages (more expensive in the hostel than in the page). Also i believe that could be better the breakfast, because some days the hostel has a lot of fruits, but other days you can find only bread... More

Stayed here for 2 nights and was ok - bit dark and dingy in the labyrinth that it is - really big spread out hostel. Staff can be really helpful and really weird sometimes, but that's because it's so transient and lots of volunteers start at the front desk now and then and don't really have a lot of knowledge... We booked this place through hostelworld. When we arrived from airport after an early flight tired and exhausted, we were told that check-in is not possible before 2-3pm. Then we had a serious discussion about the amount we had to pay. We want to pay in chilean peso instead of us dolars-which they want you to pay with- but the... More
