This hotel is nothing but charming. The rooms are cozy, Gloria is wonderful, the breakfasts are delicious and it is located fairly close to the Montt subway stop. The house is filled with character and details that make the stay very pleasurable.

I stayed at this delightful B&B for 16 nights whilst doing a course in Santiago. It is run by the owner, a lovely lady Gloria. She has two pleasant girls who clean and prepare a wonderful breakfast each morning. I really looked forward to the breakfast, especially the toast with slices of avocado and sesame seeds. Gloria has a delicious... More

This is a charming small B+B. The hotel is located in a quiet area between the city centre and the business district, and is a 10 minutes stroll to the metro station. There are some bars and pubs around it, but not many. The staff unfortunately doesn't speak much english, which makes inquiries difficult if you don't speak spanish. The... More

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Vilafranca and you cannot beat the price for location, hospitality (thank you, Gloria!), and comfort. The rooms are cozy - this is not a luxurious hotel but we were very comfortable! The hotel is basically a home with a common area for breakfast, couches with a coffee table and books, and a... More

I very much enjoyed my stay here, it was quiet (not while walking on that wooden floor though), and gave me a different feel than "just being in a hotel abroad". It gave me a feeling of being somewhere in France. I very much liked the patio, I think that is a great plus to the location. The staff at... More

After a grueling 24 hour journey to Santiago from San Francisco, arriving at this oasis of tranquility in the neighborhood of Providencia was a godsend. Gloria Figueroa, resident manager was most gracious and welcoming seeing the state I was in. The room was spacious, spotless, with a nice bathroom which included shower and a bath. A nice soak was in... More

This is a charming small hotel. It has the feel of staying in a well furnished, tasteful and comfortable house, and the welcome from Gloria, the proprietress, and all of her staff reinforces the feeling. The hotel is well located, midway between the old city centre and the modern business district, and is a convenient stroll to the metro station.... More

We were not crazy about Santiago - felt like we were finding things to do just to pass a few days before our flight. That said, the VilaFranca is a great B&B. Gloria (the owner), Milagros and the rest of the staff were excellent. And the breakfast was first rate. The only drawback to this very special place is the... More

This is an excellent place to stay in Santiago. It is on a quite road in a nice area, there are plenty of restaurants nearby and it is close to the metro. Our room was small but very clean and well-furnished. Yes, the stairs creak, but it didn't bother us. The breakfast was a real treat with different dishes each... More

This place is located in what I think is the embassy district of Santiago. The rooms are spotlessly clean, very lights and have a really homely feel. The staff are lovely, very helpful, and the breakfasts are just the right size and slightly different every day. The tomatoes with sesame seeds and olive oil are a particular treat. There are...
