located next to the Cerro Santa Luzia, close to lots of restaurants and bars and just 2min away from the subway, this place is ideal for those who expect a clean and tidy place to shower, sleep and have breakfast. From here you can easily explore the city on foot or by subway.. Breakfat is basic as usual in Chile.... More

This was our third stay at the Montecarlo. We like this hotel because it is located in a great part of the city. There is a lovely park right across the street, the Cerro Santa Lucia. It you walk to the top of the park you will get a fairly good view of the city. The hotel is small with... More

We stayed here three days and chose this hotel because of its location to the city. One can easily walk to the town in about 5 min. A typical bed and breakfast basic hotel. A few restaurants down the block. P.S. Don't wear any valuables ,as one woman told her her neckless was ripped off her on the way back... More

This is a budget hotel. The price is very nice, but that's the only positive thing to say. The hotel is from the 70's and the bathrooms haven't been cleaned since then. They are really discusting. The rooms are tiny, and you could easily hear everything your neighbours are saying. They say they have wireless, but it is not working.... More

Stayed here for a few days at the end of a month in chile. Nice, freshly decorated room, excellent service at the front desk (they even humoured my very basic spanish) and good selection for breakfast. Location is very good for central chile with most places within walking distance. Would definately stay here again if i'm back in Santiago. More

Stayed here for a couple of nights enroute to New Zealand. From the airport it costs 15,000 Chilean pesos (about $30) to get here - about a 30min taxi ride. We've been travelling for a month in Argentina/Chile so hotel fatigue had set in but this place was so friendly, the room was huge with good, quiet air conditioning and... More

I agree with all the negative comments. An old dated hotel. Good location so it´s ok if you stay there for a night. It´s too expensive for what it is More

I had no problem with my reservation. I've done it by e-mail and sent the number of a credit card to assure the reservation. Once arriving in the hotel I simply handled the e-mail to the guy in the front desk and in a little while I was in my room. The hotel is really old. You can realize that... More

Nice big rooms, fairly clean, good prices. Steps from 2 subway stops and major downtown streets, minutes from shops and restaurants. Safe neighbourhood. Front desk staff was fairly helpful, knowing a bit of Spanish is essential. Free internet terminal was a great bonus. Hotel hallways and rooms were a bit dark, with unopenable blinds; some rooms a bit dingy. A... More
