I just got into this reviewing for hotels. I stayed here for about a week with some other Honors college students. We were there for a conference with another university in Santiago. Positives- Location- In a great area. It really is local. The hotel is surrounded by a upper class neighborhoods. There are several embassies, Japan and Russia for example,... more

We stayed here for a couple of nights. Really liked the location in a quiet affluent mainly residential area. Shops and restaurants were within a 10-15 minutes walk. The room was spacious, but could probably benefit from a little upgrading. The reception area was nice and the staff quite helpful. There were computers with free internet access. The pool area... more

Compared to some of the other horrible "four star" hotels in Santiago, the Bonaparte is an oasis of cleanliness and calm, in a quiet street in an upscale suburb. The friendly doorman, eager to help us with our gear down the stairs to the lobby was a good start. The rooms in this small hotel are mid-size, clean, with small... more

I was with a group that stayed at the Bonaparte and overall everyone really enjoyed it. One thing I noticed in many hotels in South America is the lack of clock radios! We found the staff exceptional - they bent over backwards to ensure we enjoyed our stay. They have a lovely pool area, free internet (three computers) and the... more

The hotel is in a nice area and is plesant enough. We had traveled for a number of hours when we got there and needed a shower. I guess we didn't look like a "Bonaparte" guest. First they couldn't find our reservations for two rooms (pre-paid) and they were full. Eventually they found one room to share. We hade to... more

The hotel is situated in a quiet area with large villas (many now upmarket offices or embassies) and luxury blocks. It is a fairly typical medium sized business/tourist hotel. Our room was clean and of good size, reminiscent of an upmarket Travelodge. Decorations in room and landings were beginning to get grubby and the AC struggled at times. Breakfasts were... more

We stayed in this cozy hotel last yaer and considered an excelent experience. The staff was very kind, giving tips about things to do and how to go where we wanted to. It is about a 15 minutes walk to the closer metro station (Los Leones) and from stores, markets and restaurants. The room was very clean and comfortable and... more

having reviewed Trip Advisor we tried to book Orly but it was full so went for Bonaparte. Good price but many problems on check-in - toilet seat broken, aircon not cooling (as others have said) but the staff were really great and resolved everything. Breakfast was average - a bit boring. Worth the price but nothing to shout over more

We actually connected with the Hotel Bonaparte through the tour operators we were using, Santiago Adventures. The hotel is lovely. The rooms are quite "basic", no frilly bits, but everything is spotless. The room size was large and it had everything we needed. The location of the hotel is great as we could walk into Providencia for dinner. The best... more

I stayed at the Hotel Bonaparte as part of a doctoral group visiting from Washington, D.C. It's in a great location and walking to the Los Leones metro stop was very convenient, as were the other stores. The hotel staff was friendly, helpful and very efficient. The breakfast buffet was incredible and the restaurant staff was too. I will definitely... more
