This is a dated, unattractive, uncomfortable property in an excellent location. Bathroom so tiny & soiled, I showered in my flip-flops. Reception staff so surly & unkind, I thought my presence was aggravating to them. On the plus side, the restaurant staff & food are both above average, and the location is terrifically convenient to the Metro & all of... More

it's my second stay at Hotel Torre mayor. My client in Santiago booked me here because it's close to their office. I think i'll ask to stay in another hotel next time : - the rooms look very old (the reception and restaurant as well) - noise in the room due to bad soundproofing from the corridor - the shower... OK hotel. A bit corporate and sterile. Service is good, rooms are clean but a bit out of date. I stayed in two rooms; one was nicer than the other. The water out of the tap in the second room smelled strongly of sulfer. Can't explain that. Lobby was nice; breakfast ok but not quite what I'd expected at the... More

Nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants, some shopping, metro and many other conveniences nearby. The hotel is quiet, has free Wi-Fi, a pool on the roof and a pleasant lobby. Breakfasts were good. (scrambled eggs in Chile are very runny, and you just have to get over thinking they are not quite cooked if you want to eat them )

We were in Santiago again, this time in March and stayed at the TorreMayor two different times. Unlike the other otel nearby, this one lacks good mechanical capabilities. First time there we were on the 15th floor and when we walked in the room was 84 degrees. We quickly turned on the A/C and perspired. Next morning the room was... More

After wonderful stays in hotels in Brazil, Argentina, and south Patagonia, we were booked here for our stay in Santiago. I had read the reviews and was excited to stay here. I was shocked at the dismal state and disrepair of our room...dirty spots all over the carpeting, patches on the walls, mold around tub caulking, scratched-up, dingy shelves, and... More

The great things first: nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants, some shopping, metro and many other conveniences nearby. The hotel restaurant was pretty good and one night when we got there very near closing, the staff stayed late to take care of us. The hotel is quiet, has free Wi-Fi, a pool on the roof and a pleasant lobby. Breakfasts... More

There are two hotels in the same chain with this name. We stayed in the older one on our way to Easter Island. The location is excellent in a tree-lined residential area close to very nice restaurants, grocery stores and the subway to downtown Santiago. This hotel had problems with air conditioning ( it was 96 degrees while we were... More

My wife and I are traveling with OAT and had one night on our own expense and the second night as a seasoned traveler with OAT which upgraded us from a regular room to a suite. Extra floor space, sofa, desk, bathroom and MUSIC. Wonderful stay and luxurious for OAT travel. Great to relax and refresh for the remainder of our... More

This hotel is located in Providencia, a high level residential neighborhood with nice shops and excellent restaurants. Especially during the (southern hemisphere) summer it was a pleasant location with trees and shady streets and outdoor cafes. The hotel is close to the subway so there is easy access to downtown and other tourist locations. Our room was nice and the... More
