We chose Hotel Galerias in Santiago because it was downtown, which meant it was within walking distance of most places we wanted to visit. This included the main historical sights as well as the Lastarria neighborhood with its great ambiance and restaurants, Bella's Artes neighborhood. And Bella Vista neighborhood. Our room was nice size and very clean. Yes, the hotel... More

Almost gave it lower points because I had to change rooms twice becaus my rooms was HOT and despite having air conditionng, I learned that the temperature cannot be lowered. I would eventually opted for a room facing the back where the hot afternoon sun did not warm the room. This means avoid rooms that face the WEST, or the... More

I arrived four days early on a business trip and wanted to see Santiago and stay in the Centro area. The reception and door staff were always willing to assist and booked me on several very good day tours with Lucero Travel which collect and return you from the hotel. The room was fine although the walls seemed rather thin.... More

Stayed here twice 11 days apart. Our first night left us rather disappointed as the air conditioning was not working and the room was stifling. Being a Sunday the surrounding area was dead and we thought we had arrived in the poor part of town. No restaurants or any shops open. Move forward 12 days and the air is working,... More

Good location, right downtown. Nice breakfast, small pool, and this time the air conditionning was out and we had a super hot 2 days and no apologies...so this part didnt help with our stay. I also forgot my paper in my passport so they didnt take away the 19% chilean tax!

Centrally located and clean ! Staff very attentive with the exception of a waiter in the restaurant! His name is Marco and he was the most uneducated and rudest people I have ever encounter on any of my trips! We left the table before we even order our food !

We stayed here over Christmas and enjoyed an amazing Christmas Eve 4 course dinner. The restaurant staff (dinner and breakfast) were all very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious. Wifi was very average but from the restaurant level it was okay. The best thing about the hotel is the location - close to downtown sights and also to a... More

The hotel is well located to tour the City, close to the city and near to many of the cities tourist attractions. The breakfast was also quite good. It was nice to have a pool, but no real area to sit down and no loungers. We were asked to move from the tables we were sat on each day to... More

We came to Santiago for the Christmas holiday to spend time with family that lives close by this hotel. It is a 2 1/2 to 3 star hotel. We needed two rooms since my husband's parents joined us and we didn't want to go over budget. Pros: centrally located to center of the city for sight-seeing, decent breakfast Cons: air... More

The best thing going for this hotel is the location, very centrally located, within a short walking distance of the major city attractions, metro, bus station. I would rate this as a 2.5-3 star (US Standards) more like Ramada or Ecolodge in the US. The facility has everything you need except, it needs updating/remodelling of the entire facility from carpets,... More
